If in 1 / 2 years time, BP Share price is £6 and Share Options or Bonuses are to be handed out / Awarded, then surely giving out shares that cost £3.80 bought previously, is better than buying in the open market for £6 when needed…

Investing in LSE is like betting on red or black and hoping that your choice the BOD don't screw you over..

How many people have lost a shed of money on businesses they invested in ( Gambled on ) because the BOD have been useless or asset / financial stripping the business. Or tell Investers that their pleased to announce a raise at a discount or that their diluting you to high heaven.

Investing in Britain and investing in British businesses is just too risky these days, why would anyone, ESPECIALLY older generations that have less time in the Market want to risk everything they have.

my 16 year old lad finished school last week. He's desperate for a job ( Apprenticeship ), or even Summer work..

My lad has been at home, researching all businesses in the area, making a list, calling them all up and asking for any opportunities at all, be it Odd jobs with Landscapers or Electricians mates, Roofer's handy man, or Mechanics at some of the Dealers etc..

He has a list of nearly 200 now, not 1 nibble, not 1 interest, not 1 positive out of all those calls made.

The Economy is on it's Knee's... Is anyoine else in the same or similar position or varying experiences to share ?

We've got as College open day booked, as he legally has to be in education till 18yrs, but he really wants to work..

But there is NO WORK out there... Unless you're an Immigrant working off books or delivering your food cause your too lazy to cook..

My ramblings are a frustration at BP and the UK Economy. It would be a disaster for BP to be sold, and I’m sad to see so many people here championing a figure to earn a few quid short term.

They are not investors IMO, but short term chancers, gamblers, traders and non patriots as no consideration to what this sale would mean for our Economy and Country.

All the best of British has been bought on the cheap by US PE firms or Tech money swallowed them up.

Those that do not sell to US businesses, decide now to list on the NYSE. LSE is absolutely dead.

We have a few Dinosaur Insurers and pish pot House Builders that can’t even build due to regulations and a declining land stock.

If it’s not the USA, it’s the Middle East or China buying us up, even Canadian Pension funds. But what do we own ourselves any more??

I must say, I was very surprised to see the F-35 Purchase programme, as I was seeing reports regarding the USA being unreliable about intelligence sharing with Ukraine and that " Unreliable USA " could shut off key capabilities of the F-35 at a whim..

Anyone else think that in the currect climate / situation of untrustworthy Trump / Vance and Co, this substantial transfer of money to the USA is not quite such a great idea ?

I personally think it's not the best idea and the Thyphoon should be developed to improve it's Tech for the next Generation.. Wouldn';t that be great, making and selling, instead of handing over the money to USA for F-35's where the Trump Administration can flick a switch and turn them into simple flying pieces of metal.
