RNS - like it and also the way SD has hit the ground running. All heritage clearances and government approvals have been received for these initial drilling activities, so nasty surprises expected there. Well timed SD - so far so good - looks like GGP have made a good choice for GH's replacement. Early days I know.

here's a bit of left field thinking - what if GGP get the SW results but, irrespective of good or bad, decide to keep the results internally as a way of informing the next drilling ie with a view to hitting the sweet spot.

I cannot believe that Rio for instance release every drill result to the market given their large portfolio.

GGP could still issue an RNS saying the results are as expected, and very informative, and that as a result they will be drilling further in due course. Anyway it's all about managing the info in front of them. I'm sure they will know what's best for shareholders.

01.40 DVN11 - You would need to know the number of shares in issue. If it were GGP (let's say 4bn shares for rounding illustration) profit per year would be £1bn. So earnings per share would be 25p. Using a price earnings ratio of 10 (a 10 year life so you have visibility over the life of the mine) it would not be unrealistic to see a share price of 250p.

Agreed Paddy - wanted to give a broad idea, as much for my own peace of mind as anything, to say what we have here. All else can be included in the "thrown in for free" comment

4.2 million ounces in the bag and counting - expectations are for many many more millions of ounces once the full extent of the Havieron phenomenon is uncovered. Looking forward to 20 million ounces to sustain a 20 year period. Even with a 25% stake, that's 250,000 ounces per year and every year until 2043 for Greatland. With maybe 800 dollars an ounce net profit for each ounce that's $200m (£150m) profit per year to us thank you very much. Take off a bit for tax - we have offsetting tax losses for past years - gives us earnings per share of 3.8p or a forward PE ratio of 6. CONCLUSION: Ridiculously undervalued particularly with all that lovely free cash flow. That valuation ignores everything else that Greatland own - all thrown in for free.
