Morning Jersey. That's how I see HVO's situation now. Hence my frustration at traders jumping in on the back of the news. Any partner looking at taking this through to stage 3 will see a further endorsement as a reduction of the risk of any planned trial. Although I'm no biotec expert the design of the trial will be similar to the last and recruitment of patients pretty straightforward. HVO are the go to place for that. On the negative side, I suppose it is timeframes and investors expectations. 'Cogs turn slowly' in this sector but I have no doubts that Flu-v will reach the market.

Better than expected. Well done to all the Lth's. As I posted yesterday, this is about looking forward, perhaps the market will catch on now and move the sp that not only reflects the current value but the potential.

Bumble, totally agree. Of course production updates are important especially for those investors looking at trading AMER. However, I thought the recent news was about looking forward, especially CPO-5. Maybe the BoD's thought the RNS on the 2nd Jan was enough to satisfy the market until we get further news of it's development. I know the cash position would be most welcome but that for now is locked away.
What I do know, after this consolidation the sp will climb much higher on the back of positive news and probably 'wrong foot' many investors like it did when the sp was at 10p. Patience (and not much of it) required.

Moneylender has updated the ADVFN bb that he got a reply from the company that would indicate that updates will be released next week.

Wow, what a change of sentiment driven by the direction of the sp. Consolidation is good normal part of a share price holding onto gains when it moves to the next range. What has changed from last week? Nothing. What has changed from 2 months ago? Lots.
Trading update is expected next week as confirmed by the company in response to an email from Moneylender.
If some need instant gratification then invest in ANGS. I will hire an oil tanker and drive around the Weald.... jeez

Wolster, my core holding was bought in 3 tranches, highest being 15 and lowest at 10. My intention was to top slice at 18 but with the update on Ind-1 I decided to add. No intention now of selling my core holding as the fundamentals have improved.

Thanks StockBoy but I think most on here are seasoned investors. Futures for oil are good with the Saudis targeting $80 in order to meet their spending plans. Also AMER has an extremely low production cost in comparison to its peers. Prices have to remain at this level for shale producers to turn a profit.
Your quite right to point out the risks in the wider market and geo political problems but I think it's safe to say AMER is probably undervalued with its current assets and grossly undervalued on production expectations after its recent drill at Ind-1

Certainly has 42t. I'm sure some investors that have sold hoping to buy in at 10% cheaper are equally as frustrated as those investors wanting it to break the 20p resistance. As you say, the shares sold are being bought (roughly 50/50 yesterday) I think the market is looking forward now with AMER as potential and expectations grow.

We have seen a huge rise over the last month without (if any) much of a retrace. Frustrating as this 20p is we have held up pretty well considering. Perhaps Brent gaining has prevented any pullback to circa 17 but feel this consolidation can only be good once we get more positive news. Yes the MMs are toying with the price but that's their job to create a market. The fundamentals are improving and the sp will follow. The only investor frustrated are the LTHs. those looking for a trade or those that need to free up cash.

Morning guys, small float syndrome indeed. How many investors buy at the bottom and sell at the top? Not many I would guess and if they did then lady luck must have been smiling. I have always found it easier to buy cheap but the selling at the top is the tricky nut to crack (for me anyway). I suppose research gives the investor a better chance of getting it right and can consider the risk v reward factor.
For me I see the potential of this one compound in their portfolio as being transformational to the company and of course shareholders. For that reason, I ignore the day to day sp movement until such time I think it has achieved my expectations. I was invested in IMM for many years buying in the 50's and loading up sub 20's. I eventually sold with a huge gain just prior to P3 readout. My research told me that the design of that trial was very risky and the FDA setting reductions to sufferers of Lupuzor too high. So my strategy was to sell before that data was released.

My honest belief here is that the P3 trial will take place and with the data already known the chances of that being a success are extremely high. I cannot see a further trial of Flu -5 being much different to the P11b. If it does replicate the same results then the sp is likely to be in the £s rather than the pence. Frustrating as the daily sp movement is that is what you have to consider. Investing your patience is the most difficult of all.

I believe Sol-1 to be 'drill ready'. Does any of the more informed posters know if any actual test drills have been carried out. Originally the company informed the market that Sol 1 will be spudded after Ind 1 has been fully evaluated but more recently they stated that they were looking at bringing that forward. I know ONGC will be dictating timeframes but I was wondering why there has been a change of strategy. Do they know something that has made them change their minds. My understanding that drilling rigs are very difficult to procure in Colombia so why have they turned so 'bullish' is it just down to the data from Ind1?

By thw, MTFB is up probably due to investors taking a position prior to the NDA approval. It's been strengthening after the recent media attention in the Mail.

marine, why would anyone be glad to see the back of you? The bb has been quiet in the last few months due to lack of news. No one is wanting the bb for themselves. Couldn't give a monkeys whether your invested or not. Only thing that gets my back up are traders that ramp a company they know nothing about and sell knowing that they have probably pulled in the less experienced investor.
If you make money that's great, you earn your cash and can do what you like with it but generally speaking the bb gas always been inclusive.

Whatever you view on TM. You have to remember that he did a placing of shares prior to the P3 readout. Thankfully I off loaded my shares just prior to that but his actions probably saved the company from going into liquidation.
The lesson from the P3 trial should be choose your candidates very carefully. With hindsight the trial recruitment was rushed so I can understand why things are taking a little longer than people expect.
Even though IMM has been kind to me, I always struggled with the lack of communication other than the lead up to a placing. I think myself and Dibs61 saw it coming and hope he saw sense to.
News is the only thing that will bring in new investors and that news has to be good. If so, then the sp could rerate significantly.
Unfortunately that is the nature of bio's.
