Wolster, I won't bore any more members on the disadvantages of EV's and apologise for going O/T but the whole industry needs to stop and come to some agreement with charging types. There are Type 1, type 2, Teslas the list is endless. You check your app for availability and discover it is in use or out of order. Some only take certain cards. Non accept debit cards and overuse of rapid charging points can damage your fuel cells. It does work for us because we use them locally only.

I can liken it to the 80s when Betamax and VHS video recorders were in circulation but worse.

The current Mrs leas has 2 EVs, both Nissan Leafs. One in the UK and 1 in France. I can, from experience state that EVs for 'everyone' is decades away. There is not the infrastructure, ie contactless road charging and there is a large area of the globe without electricity. The range is still limited and cost to buy expensive in comparison. I am fortunate enough to have solar panels which makes it viable but still have a petrol fuelled vehicle for journeys across the channel.
I will be pushing up daisies before a significant tail off in oil.

There are market rules on any hostile bid. If there was a rumour of any sort circulating a takeover then our sp would be way above our current MC. Apart from assets owned we have cash in the bank, not forgetting revenue. Some need a reality check.

willec, I sold all my commodity investments in 2007 just prior to the financial crisis. I invested in property and biotech companies not long after. Normal to move in and out of different sectors. It may be that the seller doesn't like the company's growth strategy. I cannot offer you any reassurance as I'm sure your aware of the fundamentals.

No doubt you will tell me 'I told you so' if not commercial but in order for AMER and their partners to increase reserves and production the drill is essential, regardless of the outcome.

willec, no matter what other members post it does not change the fact that you made the decision to invest here and I'm sure or hope you did your due diligence. The sp has been under the influence of the Mms long before Cal-1 and prior to Ind-1. In fact it has been manipulated for months now. If a major shareholder wants to sell then there is nothing you or I can do. Especially when the fundamentals are being ignored. To suggest the current drill will not be a success based on the current trend us not correct.

Have to agree Margaret. Not only that, the company's future is not dependant on it being a success. 1 piece of the jigsaw in CPO-5. Prefer to focus on all the other positives which imo is not reflected in the sp. It would be nice if the ONGC Videsh site was regularly updated but it may as well be a tablet of stone so no clues there.

Quite often buys can be much greater than sells but the sp falls.

The price is determined by supply and demand.

If the fundamentals are not being reflected in the current MC. Otherwise, it would not take 14ATs (yet again) to make sure the sp does not breakout of its current trading range.

Over 40 days now. Something is being evaluated imo. Really is no news being good news. Missed the late reported trade yesterday. Gone through as a sale. Time and price says the opposite.

Any news will be driven by ONGC like it was with Ind-1. With cash in the bank and other drills to come Cal-1 if a duster will not be a disaster. May help them understand seismic data and possibly increase the cos on the other drills.

willec it is only one of the many planned drills. Not the end of the world if it is. Others to follow, not all will be successful.
Only investors that may be anxious are those that were looking to sell on the back of the expected RNS or those that need to free up cash.

JP, fwiw my understanding site drill op is 24/7 but the drill bit is not necessarily turning throughout.

BigBiteNow, I was chomping away on my full English I was reading your post with some interest in relation to ONGC. The problems (which I'm sure they will overcome) is the development of CPO 5 in it's initial phase. Especially if it really is an ocean of oil. I have posted before that getting additional rigs is not as straightforward as many think it is.

I also had a look at ONGC Videsh website (very poor imo) and the tender for civil works for production at Mar-1 has been put back yet again. Only a matter of time before that is sorted but gives an indication of how challenging infrastructure development can be over there.

It can only be manipulated to a point. When revenues increase, reserves upped and all the other fundamentals improve then the market cannot value us at 200m. Imo, they are trying to squeeze the last few drops of water from the sponge. Not much left I guess.

C7, maybe harsh and a little battle weary with investing but my comments were not critical of SCLP but the whole sector. I posted exactly the same on the IMM bb. It was no coincidence I predicted a fund raise over there prior to their P3 readout which provoked a torrid of abuse from those trading it on anticipation. Their PR had been stepped up on the run up. You are absolutely right, news could come and transform the sp on one trading day but until then the informed investor has already taken a position here. New investors will reverse the current trend.

I'm fine and dandy btw but know you have had a torrid time of late and I don't mean the footy. I'm travelling up to Blackburn today, tickets to watch my team PNE play. Sometimes the most simple things bring you the most pleasure.

bigsmoke, peoples estimates were probably about right given Ind-1, increase in reserves and drilling program. What investor's don't know is the amount our seller is dumping and who is buying. Clearly 17p has been the target price and as we see on a daily basis those AT's are holding us there. When we see the back of them the share price will perform accordingly and get to a price that represents the improving fundamentals.
