I don’t think we should be bemused. Sareum are a R&D company with no revenue and a relatively short cash runway. The market loves this. Just compare our sp with that of ROCK or ECR. They are being crucified despite their gold in the ground etc:
Rewind to the 2008 crash and subsequent 2010 Financial act which requires financial institutions to have sufficient liquid assets to cover their liabilities. Suddenly MMs and Brokers have a real vested interest in going short unless there is good reason not to. A lot proclaim they would never lend shares out for the purpose of shorting- this is likely to be correct but it doesn’t stop the MM or broker using our shares themselves to go short. Obviously they have no refined the psychology behind this and manage to frustrate holders into selling cheaply out of pure frustration. Sareum is one such stock. Long lead times etc: play into the hands of the MMs and brokers alike.
I sympathise with the frustration here but the only way to win is to buy and hold up f you believe it n what we have.
All in my opinion of course and DYOR but bemused? Not really

I don’t think anyone is wrong with their thinking or strategies. The optimistic amongst us (myself included) are not in a bubble and are awaiting the science to be commercialised. I have already likened Sareum development to mining exploration and oil exploration companies who, ultimately, require the deep pockets of a large partner.
I don’t agree with attempts to split the board into an “us and them” mentality. If traders can make money then fine. That’s is what it is all about. Those of us who choose not to trade and to just top up are also not wrong to do so. If investing/trading was merely a binary decision it would be very boring.
All is good here as I suspect you know it to be Kat. Why else would you be waiting to buy back in? Good luck anyway but I am hoping for good news coming in which may work against your stated position

It is frustrating but there are several 5k sells lumped together in a regular pattern. All round numbers which may indicate a big seller or we are being walked down- most have us have witnessed drops from 0.8p to 0.3p old money a few years ago. I prospered by buying and holding so not concerned at all by this latest barrage of negativity.

Hi sea wolf - I thought I picked up that 1802 was fine and lessons learned with 1801 would help accelerate us through Tox. My understanding is that Sareum are continuing studies into which cancers would be best treated by 1802 - happy to be corrected by anyone with a different take

Hi Grover, Colbalt. I am afraid you are both posting negative rubbish. Colbalt, it doesn’t take the brains of a rocket scientist to know that the mms will take every perceived opportunity to drop the sp nor the traders to try to cash in. Tim is not the problem and your personalised comments are out of order- the mms control the sp and professional people will only deal with facts such as what has been presented this morning. They cannot make things up to keep yourself and Grover in a comfort zone. It would be far more constructive if either one of you could give a constructive view as to why nobody should invest here - otherwise, why talk your own investment down. Fair enough if you have lost confidence and sell up but if you are underwater here that was your investment decision and yours alone. Something positive must have encouraged you both. Is it the science or the timeline that frustrates?

I don't think you are necessarily wrong Warty. The problem is very much the case that Sareum cannot - and should not - release any form of information as to what GSK intentions may be whether they know their intentions or not. Tim stated quite clearly this morning that they have to follow the lead of GSK. I would imagine that there are variations to existing contracts to be addressed by all interested parties also. We have no influence. We can speculate about what might happen and I think Krones post in relation to his own contact with GSK summed the position up very well. Unfortunately for us shareholders there is a lot behind the scenes that we are not privy to. I am sure that, once GSK updates and communicates their intentions in relation to SRA737 then we will all know about it. I suspect that, with our resident super sleuths, we may know before there is a RNS.

Yep you are right HBD - being a fledgling company there are lots of measures required to stay financially viable. One is to keep headcount to a minimum and to sub- contract what you can. Otherwise the cash runway becomes shorter and provides a different sort of basis for complaint.
We are now moving away from being just a punt and we are moving into a period where we are about to be tested and - if successful - rewarded.
Sareum has never been in such a potentially lucrative phase

Hi HBD - it is either a tactic for trading or we are witnessing wealth being transferred from the impatient to the patient.

About what in particular Warty? I remain confident and upbeat and have just added more. There is nothing negative here although there is a perception of flash to bang not being as close as was expected. Traders and mm's will feel they have time to drop this and there will also be sellers who just took a pre RNS punt.
My hope is that GSK news or an early licence deal comes in from left field but that isn't guaranteed. More patience required unless people are trading this.

I would understand why individuals question the need for such a Q&A as very little was said that hadn't already been stated in the last RNS. I am encouraged that everything is on track and that development timelines have been met. What they couldn't say about GSK also stood out but they were very clear about the chain of command/communication. We remain an interested bystander.
As for the rest? Not a lot of value in it. I remain fully committed here however and remain encouraged by the "profound" results

Stop it Star - no major is going to take on huge risk and let their own shareholders down. They will wait for development and the de-risking before committing themselves. A bit like why there are mining and oil exploration companies who do the hard yards with all of the risk before the big guys step in.

The big takeaway message for me after all of this great research and digging that has been shared, is not to part with any of my shares until we have heard the full detail from Tim and John as to where we are headed. If only half of this evidenced research comes to fruition it is still likely to blow the doors off.

I think it is unrealistic to expect news so soon after the recent update and ahead of the investormeet tomorrow unless something unexpected drops in from left field - which would be well received.
Tomorrow will be an opportunity to put some meat on the bones from the recent update. The last one was quite informative without being earth shattering. Covid application is probably the elephant in the room for myself and a few others.

Well £10 a share would be a market cap of £680m. We are talking bigger numbers than that. Utah is aiming low IMO. We each have our opinions and targets so best of luck to you all. Hopefully, we will get a mega deal straight away which takes away the agony of when to sell in a rising market.

Everyone hears you loud and clear. Sareum has value with its patents but could also attract a licence deal at any time moving forward. So not entirely reliant on placing or GSK at all.
I had expected a placing after consolidation and it never came with the sp higher than where we are now. There has to be a reason- I have no more information than the next man but there are options about and I would hate for you to miss an obvious option such as a deal - good luck if you are trading atm.

I think we are all agreed that it really was a very good update. It was an update that should have increased our market value/potential value but it didn't - instead we are back where we spent a lot of yesterday. There are sellers about if the mm's are to be believed but my own view is that there is suppression of the sp in order to allow others to fill their boots with a cheap entry point. Not many are selling, so the orders are slow to fill. Anybody know a company that is able to influence the sp and has clients who would want to buy?
That being said the case for investment here has become even more compelling with a few positive outcomes in the pipeline and becoming ever more tangible. Hold your nerve and challenge the greedy Bar Stewards

The really good element of the RNS is the message that Sareum have hit every target that they presented to us all Dec/Jan. Sareum have proven that the operation and the route to commercialisation is on track and that the BoD have everything under control. To a large extent, it has answered the negative questioning of Sareums ability to produce on time. We have moved forwards impressively and further progress reporting is inevitable.
I am also mindful of PH target of £3.04 and that their investors will now be filling their boots.
The only downside is if GSK publicly announce that they have no plans for SRA737. I do not expect that though as it represents a great opportunity to demonstrate the GSK stated plan for a new pipeline of drugs. They also need to impress their shareholders so not really in their interest.
