Why now just before drilling is supposed to start? Does this send the wrong message to shareholders? They are insiders so many shareholders may wonder what Schroders know that they don't? The timing does seem strange and it could signal Schroders preparedness to sell into any rise over the coming days.

Despite all the ramping there is not really a significant interest being shown. I put this down to many having been stung in the past when this was Leni Oil and Gas, then LGO Energy and now Columbus Energy Resources. A name change doesn't erase the history, nor does a change of management, although it might obscure it to some extent. There has been a lot of effort put in via presentations in order to generate excitement but talk of 500m MC is based on a number plucked out of the air IMHO. Nobody can predict such a transformation but it sounds enticing and appeals to those who have a gambling instinct.

Will the SWP be the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow or a damp squib? We will only know when we know and that equally applies to the BoD as much as it does to retail investors. The 'other country' M&A that has been mooted can't be assessed until there is a deal in place and we know the details of how this will be funded and the potential benefits. It might never happen.

Good luck to you long serving holders and I wish you well. I would not be surprised to find the sp in this range or lower in 12 month's time. If there is a spike some time soon then it could be good practise to take advantage of that and not sit on your hands watching a potential retrace. This scenario has played out many times before and some of you seem to believe in the dream to such an extent that you miss out on opportunities to bank profits then buy back on a retrace. How are CERP paying for this drill? Will it be cash or shares? Maybe that explains the rampy pic?

It looks like Kootie is at it again. He shouldn't need to tweet silly photos. That proves nothing. He is looking for a bounce in the sp (but why?) and he was roundly criticised on here the last time he did this when nothing transpired and the sp retreated again leaving some investors high and dry. He should concentrate on drilling the well rather than trying to emulate Del Trotter.

faz - it's all well and good quoting VSA but they are not impartial as they are the house broker, paid for by CERP. Click on CERP broker ratings and you will find there are none. What does that tell you?

Will CERP turn out to be another KEA? The build up to the drilling of PUKA-3 bears remarkable similarities in terms of being lauded as a transformational opportunity. Ask yourself why no big player has drilled the SWP before and it won't be because of landowners being awkward. Money solves those kind of problems. BHP is currently exploring offshore and that seems to be where the real prospects are to be found. Good luck to those who are hoping for a transformational find in the SWP. Irene - your posts disappearing is down to chesh reporting them not because you have mentioned a stock other than CERP. On the Glen board they spend most of their time talking about CEY and KAZ and no posts are getting removed. Chesh and his mates don't want you and Ross posting anything unless you went into mindless ramping mode, then it would be ok.

There is a saying in accountancy “companies go bust due to lack of cash and not because they made losses”. Many companies can withstand losses for many, many years but they go bust as soon as the cash runs out.

LGO came perilously close and it has to be a concern that the current cash position is unknown due to Q2 financials not being reported. It's all well and good to quote sound bites like 'fully funded' and refer to presentations which are not regulatory material.

Maybe everything is tickety boo but I tend to think that when information is withheld it is suggestive of a material problem.
