Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I won't predict timespan because we all know how silly that is but I really rate this as I can see with my own eyes how successful it is . From my immediate family I am aware of a spend of £500 on celebration cakes at cakebox (birthdays, driving tests ect ) and I am not factoring in Friday cakes or just grabbing a £2.50 slice. My local branch is booming and forget the egg free slant , there is a huge gap for accessible reasonably priced 'cake' and go' shops across Airports and train stations . Cbox could fill this perfectly. I expect here we could see a Lloyds/ Fevertree type arrangement here at sometime and then boom ..worldwide. But even now I feel the Mcap to Store ratio is way low because I feel my local branch is turning over way north of 500k per annum. This is a future £BN Company.
Hanno popping up after every RNs .. If that's not a sign of confidence I don't know what is .. Patience.
Lol 10p? It was a RNs so monotonous I didn't reach the end!
On a very quiet RNs day . Kibo have changed their name to Kibo.. That will do me til Monday I think.. Good weekend all!
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/07/31/us-japan-australia-sign-infrastructure-agreement-counter-chinas/ 3 x countries packing 86m between them in a bid to stop the Chinese steamroller which has committed 760bn within a decade not including straightforward loans.. Good luck with that. Ps.. enjoying all your posts guys .
Rebs you read my post how it was meant ! I can almost hear EDM thinking ‘this is all moving too quick ... we may miss out ..where’s our cream?....we are important ‘ ;)) Cut to 1 or 2 EDMers probably getting well paid part time advisory/executive roles or similar! Oh can we have a sweepstake regarding how many EDMers will be at our signing ceremony in Beijing enjoying,of course,5*star hotels with oriental opulence and chauffeur driven grace and favour all at the expense of their hosts (Chinese state!) This is just part of the process! O.N
Thanks to Metaltrack for top link.. http://clubofmozambique.com/news/products-for-edm-were-charged-up-to-4-times-above-market-price-ceo/ We can only guess at the culture which awards toilet paper supply contracts x 4 market value .. They owe lots of money and are also owed lots .. But ‘the office of public integrity ‘suggest that EDM or even MIREME are not fit to decide the price of electricity to the people and set up an independent body in law to oversee this .. http://clubofmozambique.com/news/electricity-of-mozambique-is-negotiating-tariff-readjustment-with-the-government/?platform=hootsuite I know Ekstrom (SA) are in the same trouble. The President of Mozambique wants this.. CMEC are Chinese STATE . General Electric are American ambassadors as confirmed by Pittman.. I honestly think all of this has been confirmed at a much higher level.. This is EDM posturing.. nowt else. No one should think conditions for this deal are any less than perfect. There is alway going to be State owned Utilities mired in corruption G.E operate quite merrily in inhospitable wartorn shitholes where a bit of local corruption is the absolute least of worries.. CMEC are Chinese State builders so I would imagine they know which end of a ‘Brown envelope ‘ is which. It’s Africa but construction in the U.K. is no different really.. The Workshops are gonna get worked.. egos will be massaged, everyone will get made to feel important whilst eating CMEC sandwiches..and everyone will go home with a GE coffee cup and pen..maybe with promises of future trips to Beijing or NYC.. And after viewing the charade like they have witnessed in a hundred jurisdictions in a hundred different Countries .. Our BN $ rockstar Partners will just say “Is everyone happy now?.. “Let’s get on with it...” There is no holes in the research here..this is very on. Please don’t miss out on something spectacular.. GLA
Welcome to Twitter CF :))
I found this to be a sensible point https://twitter.com/Stu_off_of_Pont/status/1022383949102948352 Ps Word round the campfire is Hanno is poddying us in a bit .. Or may already have done so.. Doesn’t sound like he’s hiding. Gla
Our World class partners aren’t going anywhere and all this IS a positive part of the process given there seems to be a lot more future stuff being discussed. The delay is a kick in the balls though.
The workshop is actually a real positive sign.. Look at what is being discussed. I just wish they had done it earlier. That said .. I am tempted to say ‘bloody Africa’ but our partners only walked up to us 10 months ago. No doubt all this is going to terrorise the sheep but all they are doing is giving newbs an entry who may only have to wait 8 weeks or so.
We get a firm date in August .
Yes yes yes yes yes and yes ;))))
Regards the 2.4bn transmission backbone, note the EOY results and Ncondezi submission to freedom of information requests by South African Government. ;)
MIREME?? I suggest they aren’t top of the food chain here given the involvement of other “agencies” here. Bwtfdik. I know too that Mozambique are open for business modelling themselves on the Chinese blueprint for success and as a result are nowhere near as awkward as S.A Government. I wish it hadn’t been left to the wire but I don’t think it’s Moz related .. it maybe final percentages or loan issues.. That said ... a few day extra down the ministry can push everything out. And remember the Tariff envelope went in LATER than what we all expected.. Nervous AF but I stand by all my research and dribble over the last few months.. GLA. O.N. Very on.
The need for projects like ours has been discussed at international levels (Remember Pittman the US Ambassador) http://www.gereportsafrica.com/post/170899131166/ge-shares-solutions-for-industrial-power “The United States Ambassador to Mozambique, Dean Pittman, who gave the Keynote address spoke about how excited the American government was to be doing business in Mozambique with companies such as GE. “There is enormous opportunity to bring power to all Mozambicans and given that GE Power is a great example of American private-sector success, we feel confident that the energy expansion plans in the country can be achieved.” And China? https://www.ft.com/content/bdc31f94-68aa-11e8-b6eb-4acfcfb08c11 “The biggest geographical concentration of Chinese investment in power has come in Africa, where 39 projects were announced in the five years to the end of February 2018. Analysts talk of Chinese plans to create regional power grids across the continent. State Grid is set to take a controlling stake in a $2.8bn project to build the transmission backbone in Mozambique, which will link up with the Southern African Power Pool, an interconnected electrical system for Southern African countries. Nigeria is also a key focus with China’s ExIm Bank funding the $5.8bn Mambilla hydroelectric project (above) and Chinese companies building it” GE and CMEC entwined by both their Silk Road ambitions and actual bidders of their respective Governments wishes abroad .. *note* Notice how quick GE got out of Iran when sanctions were stepped up.. CMEC are China State owned. And we all know what the Mozambique President said .. I think there was a reason we were unveiled at GE shindig in Beijing.. I fail to see how conditions for these deal can be any warmer.. Mozambique get a hell of a kickback here themselves.. No one is being exploited. We all developed from coal & no matter how ‘eco’ anyone feels the fact is the only reason I am able to write this message now is down to coal.. and China also grew from coal. Mozambique get the benefits of our social programme.. Schools, medical, bursaries ect.. All those REAL jobs ( since we are moving away contract mining) for 25+ years Over a Bn $ of cold hard cash .. And all the incalculable benefits of electrification. In what parallel universe isn’t this deal on? Hanno turning up after every Rns bullish as fk .. when he had no need to ,already funded and no need to inflate the SP if he knew that bad news was a strong likelihood. Just can’t see it from a psychological POV. They are retweeting us , we are retweeting them.. Yep I am nervous and yes I have to feel no news is good news as we should of been told of any delay.. and yes this could over run but still we either trust in our research or we don’t. I haven’t been able to see any holes in this for a long time. MIREME?? I suggest t
Lurker, a man way more qualified than me to predict value here said on 31/5/18 with the price at 8.65p ... ..”20% is what NCCL will probably have (due to past spending contribution) without spending to buy a bigger share, and therefore without diluting shares in issue. What profit share it gets therefore, depends on the economics, for which we have no up-to-date figures at all. So you and I can guess. I'm not giving any prediction until we know. But on my own guess its likely to be more than 3x currently. If Kibo discloses its MCPP economics and deal if and when its PPA is signed (which on past behaviour it won't) we might have more clues. 3x 8.65 so 27p as near as dammit? Thank you Twitter .. ;))
As you already know O&W ,support for new tariff from government, is the next key milestone ahead of finalising the JDA and re starting PPA discussions.. Unlike Kibo, Our PPA discussions are advanced with draft documents in near final form, including the tariff mechanisms.. (as per Rns) We had a previously agreed tariff envelope so we have a good understanding of the process to agree a new one..
Fingers crossed ..
I retweeted a trading proverb the other day which said “Don’t draw lines where there are none to be drawn..” Here..We have everything. If I listed the events and circumstances and the freakish timings of these things that got us to this point then I would be typing for an hour.. Difficult to find a better backdrop to any deal in the history of Aim. JVs worldwide are formed on half of what we have here and involving fractions of the money at stake in Tete. In fact, if this deal can’t be smashed through the net in THESE set of circumstances then god help the rest of the Mining sector.
