I think the point to understand here is it's only a 'temporary suspension' to protect investors whilst they figure out the implications of the sanction. The sanction is directly against RA, who is yes a major shareholder but I can't see that as sufficient grounds for a permanent suspension to be honest. I think this will be re-listed on the LSE (when I do not know), however this was an is a FTSE100 company so can't see them not having any concern for that or the shareholders.
Once it opens back up, depending on what's happened geopolitically, this could open up above £1 / £2 etc, but yes like others have mentioned we now need to wait for more information and go from there.
It is still trading, check the last google trade and still shows active on broker account. Not sure what happened in the middle there for a bit.
Days like today shows why you can't believe everyone on the board or on twitter as not sincere enough. There is people tweeting saying they've 'just topped up at 79p' when the price is 98p at the moment. If you hold for the long term and on any ceasefire news these should go towards £2.50 at least so I wouldn't be worried about a few pence here and there.
All these people saying topped up at 79p and 82p, please provide evidence. We've all been trying the same thing and the best quote was 88p which quickly went away and i've just topped up at 94p and happy with that.
There has not been a 79p quote, it's been NT or the only offer I got was 88p.
Around 1.38usd over there which is equivalent to £1.05gbp which is roughly around where we were at for the majority of the afternoon.
@Hashtagshares - Yes but the point i'm making is that everyone was working under the assumption that if the dividend was paid we would lose that money from the company and the share price would fall by a similar amount. That is no longer happening and therefore, theoretically we should rise. Nothing in this market is happening as per 'normal' rules anyway so let's see what tomorrow brings to the table.
Agreed - I actually see this rising tomorrow, if the SP was 'going to go down' if the dividend was paid then surely it should work the other way as well. More money in the bank, let's reassess the situation in a months time. Good luck all.
Thoughts welcome.
PS: The reason i didn't sell despite having a 1.08 quote was because I didn't see this going below 90p even if the dividend was paid, and hence why I don't see a drop in price now that the company has kept the cash.
I don't see how this will have a bad impact on the selling price to be honest. If anything cash is in the bank and we should see a move up? I agree it was a late announcement, but overall with time this should be above where it was today (£1.10) as this company is worth more than £1.10 a share. With not losing the dividend cash there shouldn't be a fall now either, I believe this should stay steady and rise again providing the geopolitical picture stays as it is or a ceasefire is agreed.
@Deepdive, Yup got in with a large amount around £1.35 myself and then kept averaging down in late 90's etc and then it kept dropping which made it even harder. Trouble is you don't know when the rebound is going to happen like today, so that's why had to keep averaging down but long term hope it pays off. Just gutted about my move today to be honest, like i'd held on and not sold any all this time then I was doing a dummy bid on 8750 shares and saw 96p and thought, this is a good price maybe i'll be able to sell an buy back in slightly lower when it drops and that all went very bad for me but luckily managed to buy back in at a £1 so lost effectively 375 shares.
@Deepdive - I think trading is so much more complicated when you constantly watching it as you try and outsmart yourself sometimes so to speak. I took the 96p bid on offer this morning as I thought this is good and it will come back down again, but then when I saw it rise I was regretting it and had to come back in higher at a £1 and lost out on 375 shares which in the grand scheme of things isn't a lot but in trying to outsmart myself i did end up losing instead of gaining. Personally then I was thinking even if i manage to get like 300 shares extra i'll call it a success and was basing it off previous days where it had gone lower after touching higher in the morning but today was the day it was not meant to be which is unlucky for me but at least I managed to get back in again compared to people who might have sold and not bought back in. Just my musings above in a volatile journey of this stock and how it can affect you mentally as you are constantly thinking about it, but good luck all.
Forgot to mention got a quote to sell at 96p and thought this is great, will rebuy back at 92pish but it has gone the opposite way and regretted it after I pressed that button. Had a few purchase quotes after that but ended up buying at a £1. I know a couple of pennies here and there but again you have to have the nerve to day trade as well which I don't.
I held my nerve not trading all these days and decided to trade about 8750 shares and would advise against it to be honest. Thought I knew the pattern but couldn't hold my nerve so ended up losing out on 375 shares in the process but at least i've got back in. Not a trader and should have stuck to my guns of just investing.
1.55usd now. Looks good, this has been walked down throughout the day over the last couple of days but eventually it will go up and not come back down again to these lows.
Good luck to you guys as well. I've invested the £7,800 I had left after the 4k loss from the £12k investment into EVR so see how that goes, especially with the 0.37p per share dividend to come end of month I thought I could recoup some of my losses there. However like I said good luck to you all here, and will keep checking in. - Have a nice evening.
1.68usd which is equivalent to £1.28gbp. Not sure what has triggered this in America but looking good!
It’s just a UT, it’s not the closing price…
Sold out , something doesn’t feel right here. Will stomach a 4K loss, but good luck all.
Ceasefire declared starting from 10am Saturday. Further details to follow regarding specifics but good news for the Ukraine public. Hopefully more positive news to follow , over the weekend.
EVRZF for the US ticker. Good luck all.
