Loads of businesses pay for stock room, warehouse or yard space just to cover peak times ie Christmas, then they stock and pay for items they think will sell with no guarantees. Borrowing money to do so. If just a couple of stock lines do not sell their entire gross profit can be tied up in that stock.

TC every industry/job has its own definition of fast dictated by the nature of the industry type, you just have to get into their speeds.
