Asllan, I think the same as you, however two things place an element of doubt in my mind, one is the admin error with Steve, I have never seen an admin error like that one before and he would be removed from that role in a buyout (possibly in a JV with a miner too), he is up for election next meeting according to the rns. The other is they have to approach the government in the case of a buyout too. They are approving the DMS, so they say, or are they also approving a change of ownership/joint ownership?
Kodal may retain rights in full or part to the land above 97.2 km squared as there are 300km in total?
Who knows? We will have to wait for it all to play out.

Ivenoidea, yes you could be correct there regarding confirmation bias, as I cannot know all of the information they hold and cannot consider options that I am unaware of. Also hanging on to every word in presentations is not always a good idea.
Normal explorer to miner in normal market conditions follow a well trodden path, in this market, with such demand and high value, it is difficult to forecast.

Stod, could be a straightforward production loan, therefore all power remains on our side, therefore the offtake would have stiff penalties for unsold tonnage. Or a favourable loan tied to the offtake.
If they decide to derisk the lithium as a miner a JV which would involve a cheque to us. The finance could still be connected to the offtake or standalone.
The only way they would do a placing would be if they needed to top up the coffers as an explorer pre finance for the lithium.
There was no indication of this as they put the gold on hold to save existing cash.
Putting the gold on hold may be an indication of either a JV (expecting some cash) or that they are considering selling the gold field for which they received an offer.
Of course there could be half a dozen other offers we are unaware of.

Yes creaser, it would not make sense to get the money first, the approval dictates the amount required.

Clapa I reckon they could get a simple production loan if they wanted outside of any agreement. The repayment period would be so short even with heavy interest. Less than 6 months and Kodal would give nothing away to anyone.
I don't think financing is an issue.
What is an issue is how much they give away if they jump into bed with another entity.
Also if they decide to derisk futher, IE a JV and get 40 or 50% at a much reduced value in the bank this or early next year and retain the income from the rest.
Difficult decisions and the companies they are dealing with are not used to being on the weaker side. Again Elon Musk spoke about this recently as he is also on the wrong side of it all too as far as lithium goes.

1464, they discovered that they get the same NPV by using a DMS, saving a small fortune on the plant, only going for 5.5% spod and mining a reduced tonnage off this plot of land.
The DMS will be free delivered in large pieces to assemble, very quick. The infrastructure will probably take longer than the plant to assemble.
Same profit, smaller outlay and reduced processing.

It is one of those moments in time where it would be an achievement to mess this one up.
These moments do not come around often. Right time, right material, right profit margin, loads of financing options perfect to move from explorer to miner.
Also unlike gold, you are not picking over ground after centuries of others have done the same.
While those people who have been in business understand business risk exists in every single business, which some seem unable to understand, it is greatly reduced in this current lithium environment.
I cannot remember any situation similar, in my lifetime or in history.

The amount of lithium on the remaining land is unknown, it could be more concentrated or less, based on comparing preliminary results on the existing and wider land they are comparable.
In addition when they hit the bottom of these open pit (open cast in the UK) mining, they generally test drill at this level in case there is more material below. There could be more.

I would also imagine with such a quick repayment period of a couple of months that companies offering production finance will be tripping over each other to offer Kodal a deal too.

The unknown is if a popular journalist picks up on it, especially out of one of the mainstream rags, then it goes up early. So far this has not been picked up by any, some CEOs are high profile and to keep themselves in the window. Keep in the public eye and are interesting for the press.
Ours is not that type of board, you get the impression that they want to make their fortunes off this company only.

They appear drowned by offers, even buyouts on their goldfields have been submitted.
If we did not have such a huge acreage not included in the lithium npv figures, or the initial drilling was not so good I think it would have been sold off by now.

Clapa, that would be my suspicion too, I think a low interest or no interest loan, rather than big tie ins on either side and a three year deal firmed up. However that admin error with Steve does not make sense, Steve leaving the board is more in line with either a JV or buyout with a mining company as his services would not be required.
I have never seen an admin error at any meeting ever like that one.
Reading it he has to be voted back on? Seems more like a prep for something than an error.
