GENinCode is a genetics company focussed on the prevention of cardiovascular disease ("CVD") and the early detection of ovarian cancer. With the global annual cost of CVD projected to surpass $1.04 trillion by 2030, the directors believe there is an unmet need to accelerate the adoption of genetic testing as an adjunct to the current standard of care. The directors believe GENinCode's proprietary solutions address this unmet need by integrating genetic and clinical data to improve risk prediction, risk assessment, and personalised treatment pathways for CVD and related conditions.

Brazil holds the world's second-largest rare earth element (REE) reserves, estimated at roughly 21 million tons or 20-23% of the global total, positioning it as a key potential alternative to Chinese supply. Despite significant deposits, specifically ionic clays, production is currently minimal, with active mining focusing on locations like Minaçu and Bahia.

Strategic Importance & Partnerships: The US and European Union are actively pursuing partnerships with Brazil to secure supplies for green technology (electric vehicles, wind turbines) and reduce dependence on China.

The REE potential at Arapuá warrants further investigation, albeit we are at an early stage in the exploration programme. Laboratory analysis of rock samples has confirmed REE concentrations ranging from 1,176 ppm to 1,860 ppm of total rare earth oxides ("TREO"), while historical analyses have shown even higher values, ranging from 1,837 ppm to 4,117 ppm TREO (see RNS dated 10 April 2024).

 

Accordingly, we are planning a fully funded, two-stage REE-focused programme.
