i don't know why people are getting hung up over exact dates. There were at least two interested and provided things were progressing (which they were) then deadlines are easily extended. It is in the interest of all parties, including the government, to get the investment and to get to production and the oil wealth and employment it will generate for impoverished countries.

It would be interesting to actually know how this deal differed from the 11th hour one Morrisons tabled last week, and that would have left it with shareholders.
