Oil hitting $44 per barrel says another 10% day.

On 60% of our production we are hedged at $57 per barrel.

The other 40% which is highly profitable at $44 per barrel is catching up fast.

Good solid volume and strength in the TLW share price today.

Somebody is having to spend money now to toy with the price but they are getting very little stock being sold in return. i think its market makers getting their risk free's

It is now looking like its into real value territory again.

68p to 48.5p with no real justification for the fall does look a tad overdone, especially when the balance of shares in Institutional hands has gone up what with Jangho repurchasing.

Its been going up the last two days from under $40 per barrel to over $43.60 at time of my post.

It always interests me how though it obvious this will instantly add to BP's profits, how they toy with the price for a few days first before allowing it to rise.

Whether that is to see if it stabilises or whether it is to let Institutions buy in I will never know.

We should be heading back to £2.80 to £3.00 imminently if the oil price continues in the same manner and holds at a higher level.

That's where it was sat at prior to results.

Went to see Tenet yesterday with family for an afternoon showing.

There was a fair few in the cinema and the food and drink concession was serving away drinks popcorn, hotdogs with several combi deals on etc.

Saw it on the Imax screen which was my first ever visit. AMAZING experience and I probably won't go 2D again. A Massive high definition screen with an standout sound system.

Tenet itself is a great film which is action packed and probably one of Nolans best works to date, especially with the battle scenes which contain both forward advancing troops and infrastructure devastation, whilst at the same time in the same frames troops in a second team inverted and in reverse and all the devastation sucked back out the ground and reformed into the building. The same with the car chase scene etc.

Well worth seeing if you haven't already and its definitely left for several sequels the way it finished.

There are many times on these markets where you can't find a reason for a fall. That is probably because there wasn't any and that is probably the best time to you know what.

I'm sorry Tony but its quite clear you are trying to trade this and have probably called it worng with too early a sell.

It levelled out at about 17.5p on results day given there has been no bad news in between there shouldn't be any reason why it doesn't get back there. The question I think on everyone's mind is which fund or funds benefited and will they tell us. It's clear imvho someone has been picking up stock.

It looks like what Morgan Stanley have unscrupulously been trying to achieve has been met by some counterbalance. There seem to be times the algorythmic programs are having to stop as they don't know what to do next. Shall we sell more to try and lower the price. But hang on a minute, its not working. Pause, rethink .....

Its probably just about found its manipulated down bottom and given there has been buying yesterday and this morning I am half expecting another Jangho TR1.

Off to see Tenet with family today so not really bothered and whoever fiddled it down will fiddle it back up when they wish.

In the meantime whilst we move forwards with reopenings I see a hostile bid appeared for G4S from Canada. A different industry entirely the recent Paramount decree rulings have cleared the way for Cineworld to be snapped up also.

Sometimes in shares Bugsy911 it is actually pointless looking for cause and effect reasons as there is always someone with deep pockets somewhere looking to gain either stock or a price or indeed both. Institutions, market makers, spread betting firms.

So when it looks cheap now I just buy and that is what i have done here.

For getting $57 for each barrel of oil produced on hedged price basis for 60% of our production I think that the market has missed it.

Not only that but the oil price is about double what it was back then at the height of lockdown when we were last at 15p, 16p, and so much has opened up again and is consuming oil.

17p looks back on the cards as the next step. The last day or two have been about somebody taking out stops and picking up the low hanging. I managed to get a top up yesterday at 14.85p and am happy to wait for a 50% return on that to re-evaluate. that would only be it back to pre-results level which it should easily reattain.

We should easily get back to the 23p that we were before results then a further recovery in the oil price will further enhance our holdings.

There won't be any second lockdowns in this country and the Health secretary was pretty specific on the matter when it cane to Bolton and when he said that any second spikes would be dealt with by way of local lockdowns and that is what is happening.

I take it you are also aware that the Oxford vaccine trial has restarted again. There will be a vaccine in the market place prior to Xmas and some think as early as October. When that comes along then what is a "new normal" can get back to fully normal.

Then TLW can get itself back to pre-Covid 19 share price levels which incidentally was higher than 50p in January.

Like I said we are making very good money for our barrels of oil right now.

The oil price is double what it was in the pandemic and we are actually hedged and getting about 3 times that on 60% of our production.

Its nice to have cause and effect and reasons for things. Sadly though that is not how markets work.

What you do highlight though is the opportunity that is there and all know that TLW is a good rebounder.

By any stretch of any imagination it should be higher. Much higher.
