Crumpets,
I pointed out that although the last few days that although the mortality rate has been increasing one key indicator, the Infection rate, has been levelling and declining. In fact it did the same again and reduced further last night.
Today's infection rate is what leads to tomorrows hospitalisations and then the death rate. So if it is declining that is good as it hints that the present lockdown is starting to work. Supplement that with more scare stories in the media, Professor Doom or is it Gloom's tv broadcasts (Chris Witty) and threat of more stringent control measures and tougher enforcement and they will all help further.
Then all the time vaccinations have been rolling out and now as of Monday have been ramping and scaling up on an unprecedented scale. 7 mass vaccination sites turning into 50 by end January. 2 to 3 weeks time lag for those effects to work.
Then you should reach a point where both lockdown and vaccinations combine.
If you believe in the Military efficiency behind the Covid19 Delivery Plan and the further large scale ramp up coming then now imvho is a good time to be stocking up on the shares that you think will directly benefit from the combined effect.
The Government's timeframe for vaccinations by Mid-Feb is aimed to at taking 88% of the present mortality and high risk out of the system and equation. Add then the next targetted group right down to the over 50's and those with underlying health problems that put them at higher risk and that should take 99% of mortality out the system. target is End March.
Its all in the Governments Delivery plan and as others have pointed out we should also have the Johnson and Johnson vaccine approved and ready to jab by end Jan / beginning of Feb. Its a one dose vaccine. 30M on order and being produced to deliver almost immediately.
The UK Population is 67 Million. Pfizer vaccine (40Mill ordered 2 doses. Oxford vaccine 100M order - 2 doses. J+J vaccine. 30 M doses ordered. 1 dose. Moderna vaccine coming spring, GSK vaccine to follow along with a few others.
The 15th Feb with 88% mortality out of the system and the combined effect of a lockdown should see even the detractors coming round to the science behind all this.
That being the case I can see 65p being a distant memory.
Anyway I don't need convincing and have been taking positions in the shares and funds I think ware prime recovery candidates, CINE being one.
