Said for a while that I thought the reason why Avacta haven’t got a test out is because it doesn’t meet the required standards.
This will do nothing to help , just hope their other irons in the fire are showing better results.

Absolutely nothing in that programme that we didn’t already know.
Think I could have made that with half the budget they had and come up with the same results.
Like all tv documentaries they start with the point they want to portray then build a programme to show exactly that.

The big problem with the TU was no breakdown of sales geographically.
We keep being told that they sell to 130 countries but the figures would suggest either very little sales to the rest of the world or the nhs contract was nowhere near anything like expected.
Hopefully Promate will be the one that propels the next sales surge.

Your right about Novacyt especially with the PR side, however what you have to remember that along with others , like Avacta these companies in the past 12 months have gone from small penny stock aim shares to M/caps of £100's millions.
The people that run them are scientists in the main and have little or no experience in dealing with shareholders of this size of companies. They should employ professional PR people but I assume they have been far too busy over the last year. With people like BlackRock on board I think
it will be something they correct going forward.

Can’t see it being production problems , only a few weeks back they said they had sufficient stock to meet all demand.
What’s happened to the nhs £469M contract ? obviously not been fulfilled as yet.
I think it’s probably a case of not enough orders to fill production demand !!!
Who knows?

Don’t think this is split equally , some of the companies look like corner shops.
The first one I looked at in my area went out of business last year !!!!!!
A lot doesn’t add up.

I had one last week, absolutely nothing to indicate who’s test it is or even what type of test it will be.
Courier collected it 3pm Friday and I had negative result Monday morning.
Found it very difficult to do throat swab , had to get wife to do it. Otherwise no probs.

Don’t be so quick to pile the blame on the young.
My son works in a garden centre, 90% of customers are seniors . Although most wear masks most of them are round their necks. They have little sense of what’s going on regarding rules etc either through ignorance or just stubbornness.
Why are the garden centres even open !! The seniors are only going there because they are open and they are capable of spreading it as the young.

Why is it the governments fault we haven't got a decent LFT ,
They don't run the companies like Avacta who have made hyped up aspirations of tests they cant get to market.
Innova have a test that has accuracy figures that some experts don't even put in double figures yet they are making millions.
Avacta can't even get a test out to beat that. The government must be pulling their hair out more than shareholders.

Do nothing but peddle fear, doom and gloom, why report something good about the UK when we can report all the bad.
The are the most politically biased news company in existence.
They hate Boris , this government and anything brexit related.
Even when they do report sonething good there is always a big BUT

I assume Avacta are struggling to get their test upto the required standards but surely if we do have one that works it must be better than the Chinese innova crap currently being used in the millions !!!!!

Given that most of the vaccines are being given to 80+ year olds I would think there will be some deaths before they can get a 2nd dose.

There is obviously an issue with Avacta's test otherwise it would have been out weeks ago. I would suspect that whilst it works it's nowhere near the required standard. Will they achieve the level needed!!!!!!!!

Surely if your flagship gold standard product was being ****ged off in a national newspaper you would respond !!!!!!
There was obviously a problem at the time that has no doubt been corrected but given the potential damage that this could do i would be very surprised if no rns out by the end of the day.

Surely the company must issue an rns to refute these rumours or the markets will take it as true!!!!!

Dont get this in pursuit of perfection, I would guess its more a case of in pursuit of the minimum requirement.
If Avacta had a workable test within the required minimums it would have been out a long time ago.
Before you jump down my throat I'm a large holder so like everyone I want a working test. If its 100/99.5% so be it but at this point i think any workable test is required.
Surely if you have a working test that's just short of being the gold standard you would get it out and try and improve it whilst sales are pouring in !!!
