Another waste of buybacks announced.
A divi would be much better than these city boy pocket fillers.
NHS stopping testing now , only those with symptoms will be done .
Is there any goods news about for Nova ?
I don’t understand why we’re not buying somebody with the £100m that’s earning enhancing , I hear some say they are saving it in case we lose the dispute with the DHSC but IF we did lose we are toast anyway.
To me we have wasted 12 months more whilst the cash just burns a hole in their pocket.
Get it spent on somebody that will take this company to the next level ,or as I fear are the BoDs incapable of that !!
Had anybody here done any research into pricing of tests. Nova are 1st responders in covid & Mpx tests then seem to get left behind.
Is their pricing policy far too high hence the lack of sales or contracts ??
The way I see it is that there is probably 2 reasons that Nova could lose the dispute,
1- Faulty product with no back up
2 - contract so watertight in DHSC favour.
Given they had promate as back up & the government as so incompetent I doubt either of those apply.
IF it was one of them then they would deserve to get hammered.
Probably why they have given themselves the huge wage increases!!! To cover the losses from their share purchases.
Just read a good article about Surescreen in Derby. How many millions they made from the government on LFT's .
What a great UK diagnostics company they are and obviously didn't get screwed over the DHSC.
So what did they do differently that Nova & others couldn't???
Wasn't the dispute more to do with the NHS staff saying they weren't properly trained to use the test so they changed it for primate ??
The government then turned round and said the product was not working when in fact it was the staff not using it right.
Just have to hope that they win dispute and invest money wisely on a good bolt on addition.
Given their previous form I doubt the current BOD's are capable of that though !!
The one thing that’s kept me going here was the expectation of winning the DHSC dispute. Thinking the government are so incompetent regards contracts that Novacyt must win the case , after this shambles I’m beginning to think otherwise !!!
If they're suing us for defective test they should have no trouble getting £billions back from the Chinese for all their ****e tests they supplied then!!!
Wasn’t the approval process what the private eye article was allegedly about ?
You have to assume that if the do get extra money from the dispute it will be used to buy an earnings enhancing bolt on .
They need to spend it wisely and diverse a little.
No it's just a case of manipulation by MM's.
If I was buying that many I'd just tell them I want 500,000 but I want them below £1.10.
No probs sir just give us a few days, job done.
I'd like to think it was for order influx but it's probably holiday cover.
I would really be worried if Nova did lose the dispute with the government, not because of what it would do to the SP but would bring home just how incompetent the BOD’s are.
This government are a complete shambles and I think their record of winning cases in contract disputes are very remote.
If Nova couldn’t tie up a panicking government department with a contract in their favour during a pandemic then serious questions would be asked.
Apart from faulty goods (which was not the case here) I would be shocked if we lost.
They should agree a 50/50 split on the dispute amounts then give us 50% of the £2bn tender.
Problem solved on both sides
I wonder if this counter claim has been brought in to try & put pressure on Nova to a more favourable agreement for the DHSC so they don't look completely incompetent.
After all it's only our money they are wasting.
I’m assuming this means that attempts of a negotiated settlement have reached stalemate and it will now be settled in court.
I guess the companies whole future is now in a judges hands. God knows where this SP will be by weekend.
Have Novacyt ever released an rns that’s had a positive effect on the SP ??
