the turret mooring system will allow the vessel to weathervane around the fixed mooring buoy, without the need for thrusters to assist in station keeping. The capacity to disconnect the turret buoy from the FPSO will be retained.
The turret mooring system will provide the interface between the stationary subsea infrastructure which culminates at the buoy and vessel which rotates around it. As such, the buoy must provide sufficient riser slots to hold the two production risers and control umbilical needed for the initial EPS phase, while also leaving capacity for the incremental addition of further risers if needed. It will also include a mooring monitoring system, instrumentation to control the wells, modifications to allow pigging of flowlines,
excellent post Wessex 5* better than 1 tick up
Boyzee, Firstly I am no expert on installations. I understand that the manifold will be approx. 14.5m square in size covering an area of 210 sq metres on seabed. It will be positioned into place by firstly surveying area of seabed ROV it will then be dropped by a crane into seabed, its own weight will keep it embeded into sea bed from there flowlines will be connected . time scale could be 14 days for this but others will know better timescales sorry I cannot be more informative

Union lynx and Union bear have departed Lancaster will be in Lerwick around 7pm this evg
the depth of the crushed granite will vary between 1/2 metre to 1metre
boyzee, they will also use several 6mx3m concrete mattress over areas around manifold and flowlines, flowlines will be buoyant and mattress will help prevent buckling, on top of the mattress 1inch to 5 inch crushed granite will be deposited hope this helps in building up a picture of seabed
Manifold and pipeline installation works will be undertaken by the Normand Vision and the Deep Explorer in the Lancaster field. The work will extend from the manifold location to the future Aoka Mizu FPSO location.
The manifold will be installed near the Lancaster 6 and 7z wells, 2 x flexible flowlines and 1 x static dynamic umbilical will be laid from the manifold to the location of the FPSO. These lines will be connected to the submerged turret mooring system buoy prior to the FPSO coming on station. Jumpers will be installed and connected between the manifold and the already installed xmas trees. In addition, there will be rock dumping activities carried out in the same location once all installation and connection work is completed.
The earliest start date for operations to commence is 22nd July and the operations are expected to last approximately one month. The rock dumping activities are estimated to be carried out between 1st September and 31st October 2018. The installation operations will be undertaken from the following vessels: Normand Vision, Deep Explorer
The co-ordinates for the proposed operations are listed below:
