hi people , not been in VOD long so not been keeping up with things, can anyone give a quick explanation as to probable outcome of a merger ? good or bad for Vod holders?

bonkers i would not call 40 potential buyers as lacking and yes we went into CH11 with only 4m in the bank but at end of Jan we had 189m in bank and the trading since we went into CH11 has improved bigtime and expected to continue rest of year , a renegotiation of debt payments (delay) would mean they get every penny back over time , this has got to be a better outcome for them than losing billions , if revenues continue and we can make our repayments either as arranged now or under renegotiated terms everyone really wins , debtors, shareholders and moooky and a good business is not lost through no fault of their own. IMHO

with 40 interested potential buyers anything can happen , from a full buyout or partial sale of some assets to reduce Cine debt, allowing cine to stay in business pay the bills and reap the rewards of a return to cinema with numbers pre C19 , if i was mooky with his shares id be trying to keep the business alive , things look a lot brighter for the business this year it can recover it just needs time , hopefully the judge will see this and we all benefit and the debtors get repaid , everyone's a winner

we really could do with a trading update , are we making money again (paying the bills) dare i say a decent profit ? that is what will really matter here not any of this nonsense on here , i still believe every month we are still alive we are in a better position.

i dont think this is as bad as it might appear , yes a offer for everything above 10p would have been nice of course (for some) but with 40 bids that is a lot of interest and confidence in future of cinema and with footfall and profits coming back and 5 marvel films this year, would a no sale be so bad if Cineworld can start to repay the debt and come out of CH11 with all the company intact and a brighter future ? profits are key here and in another 6 months of continued recovery this could look completely different.

news/leaks could drop anytime , i think it would probably jump a good 30/40% then we will know its good news :)

very little chance of an RNS today, probably none tomorrow either unless they just confirm bids/offers are in , nice if they do and let us know how many but think best we can hope for over next few days is rumours/leaks or a very sudden jump in SP which would be lovely :) i can wait a few days no worries , I'm still confident of an offer above 10p , my average is 6.4 , good luck all

whether you make money or lose money on this will depend on your average, if you are in above 20p your probably screwed but at current price i think theirs money to be made , i can see above 10p bids to take control , cine has issues with debt yes but the business is recovering and if you can finance it within 3-5 yrs you stand to make all your money back and some probably sell regal to lower debt mountain once cinema has recovered fully to pre 2019 levels , investors look long term especially the big boys , even with the debt cine has great value and potential in my view.

No reason why Sycamores 3rd offer wasnt announced , but these things tend to leak so maybe we will find out over next 24hrs and possibly who the other 2 bidders could be , we assume Tosca is one of them but who knows. all looking good though :)

PM just said he has been told their will be SMR by end of decade - but then he said he wants them to be ready quicker and sees no reason why we carnt have them quicker , excellent news for RR
