The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Testing is here for the foreseeable future, look at Pzifer’s share price, it’s now lower than when they announced they had a vaccine to save the world and Moderna is down 5% if the vaccine was a given these share prices would be massively up, not lower than before their announcements.
Testing revenue will be massive, just have faith....
Pfizer’s share price is now about 1% higher than when they announced that their vaccine worked and that they would save the world, something strange here. For a company that could name their price around the world, this doesn’t make sense.
To me it’s all about the testing and proper testing, we will get one day an within day RNS that will be massive, hang in there COVID has a long way to run.
What I find interesting is that yesterday big announcement that vaccine made by Pfizer saves the world, 90% effective, joy around the world however share price goes up by a mere 10% and then drops by 1.23% today. For a company that can literally name its price around the world, it’s seems maybe the market is a little bit more sensible in that it’s got a long way to go before it saves the world, that’s why testing is the key for the foreseeable future...... just my opinion
As Ophidian has just put on Twitter:
Anyone stopped to think for just a minute. If there was bad news due Alastair Smith WOULDN'T BE ALLOWED to sell any shares - so actually this is very good news. #AVCT massive over reaction
Sir Pat acknowledging that it is likely Covid-19 might never fully disappear even with a vaccine. Sir Pat pointed to how smallpox was the only disease to have ever been completely eradicated and that, in future, treating COVID-19 might become more like dealing with seasonal flu.
Sounds like testing and the revenue that comes with it is going to be around for a very long time....
What will today hold, will yesterday’s rise be the start of moving upwards? Or will the cycle of the last 18 months carry on and we are sucked back down on a small volume of trades, it would be good to have a nice blue day......
Can someone explain why anyone is buying at the moment, everyday day 500k of shares are dropped in and the price falls, so why isn’t everyone just waiting for the floor, whatever that is, but feeling is it’s not 11p in the current climate?
Just to be clear LTH, but underwater!
