George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Just takes you to an error page Scotman - it's been taken down
Thanks Busterboy. Not the easiest of processes, or the most helpful of people on the other end of the chat, but I have got my vote in now.
Thanks!
How do you instruct Halifax?
I am on my share dealing account, in the corporate actions section and there is nothing to do etc.
Apologies if this has already been asked, but I haven't kept up with the many messages on here recently.
Web chat is down right now.
If it was the Israelites then I'd hazard a guess discussions were happening before the 15p offer.
I'm all for optimism, but without a 2nd bidder raising their head there's no way AA will have to pay more than 5.5p, even if the offer is rejected by shareholders (of which I don't think there are many of us anymore)
fair point, they're never wrong.
There's too much "us and them" on here.
Investment strategies vary from person to person, and it is very easy to critique in hindsight. Nobody (including IBAB) was predicting a 5.5p offer. Yes, some were more accurate than others, but nobody was spot on.
I am certain if we were all in a pub it would not be as hostile as it is on here. We all want to be more wealthy based on the stockmarket, not all of us will be, that's the truth of it. But being "better" at this than others doesn't make you a better person.
Be nicer.
In fairness it is bloody hard to keep up with the volume of posts these days!
This has been suggested before, but I believe it takes too long to organise.
Plus the logistics aren't the easiest, rounding up people on this board would be a challenge in itself!
Certainly newer than a lot of people here. Been watching quietly for a while.
I work in recruitment in oil, so understand how these companies work and the project life cycles, where I am missing any knowledge is on Mongolia specifically and the logistical, weather and government specific challenges here.
When would drilling season be?
same concept really - the fella in the big short etc. (I'm aware that's a dramatisation)
Aren't some of the best players on the stock market on the spectrum?
Does anyone take Motley Fool seriously?
If you're holding all the cards in poker you're the dealer, and the dealer never wins...
depends how much AAL have bought this week
I'm not adopting that approach here Wolf, but I stand to lose a lot less than some people here.
I personally feel that 0p is significantly less likely than it was a week ago, agreed that more than 10p is also much less likely than it was (near impossible), but interested to see how it plays out.
