Surely THG Ingenuity is the reason for this with it requiring high throughput to justify the capex spent on all the automation and tech. The elephant in the room is the obvious conflict of interest and blurred lines between THG plc and Ingenuity. So who is making the strategic decisions for the benefit of the shareholders in the plc. It wouldn't surprise me to see the VAT rebate proceeds be used towards THG's "consumer price protection investment strategy" we've once heard before.

Don't pin your hopes on Moulding burning any shorts. All he has ever proven to do is bring a knife to a gunfight. The VAT rebate is a total fluke for him

Your logic seems reasonable sparsam however you're neglecting the issue that any potential suitor would also need to continue the life support of Ingenuity via THG. This is why I believe we have yet to have a real proposal come out from the shadows for either of the divisions. Such a proposal would likely carry a significant discount to peers because of this
