Interesting to see if we get a holdings RNS in the next few days Sam. As you say, that's a big buy and a show of confidence by a new or existing shareholder. Let's hope there's more to come.

Well that's RM's view, and they hold a few more shares here than you or I. You'll probably see the Chair "retiring" or "moving on to other opportunities" within the next 12 months, IMHO anyway.

There won't be a winding down here. Did you not read the latest results? Rising dividend, in line with inflation (covered 1.4X) and share buy-backs. Over 9% yield too. They occasionally recycling capital at or around NAV, just to prove the validity of the NAV as much as anything. I'll be adding to my holding for the income when funds available.

Sailing through £2 this morning now people have had chance to digest the results, looking very positive here.

Similar reaction to BSIF on Tuesday, and similar results/reasons. The dividend cover is more secure here though, and higher yield, so this looks the stronger of the two going forward.

Well, yes, if you look on it as an annual total. However, they have today announced the first interim dividend (c. £167m) and alluded to a second interim dividend in December (c. £133m) so that's c. £300m for the first half, of a total target of £500m. Still therefore scope for a third & fourth dividend of c. £100m each, no? To be clear, I'm not expecting this outcome, just suggesting it's a possibility, and a desirable one from my perspective. As damofarl says, more likely in future years than this year, on balance.

They're not talking about the December dividend in terms of a special. I wonder if this might be a sign that quarterly dividend payments are in the offing? Would have a much wider appeal if this was the case, in my view anyway.
