My guess is they won't want to conduct the study with the same lab in case they have to sue their arses off. Mcap down c. £6m this morning, where there's blame there's a claim.

Of all the risks that had to be mitigated, this one wasn't on the list. Has anyone come across a failed study due to adverse outcomes on the control side? I haven't.

This has cost us millions. If the lab is shown to be at fault, I assume we'll sue them?

Wonder if they've had an outbreak of kennel cough or something else contagious on the control side of the kennels?

MattyBoy, I've followed your journey from GGP to here (you might remember, unlike you, I'm up here & down over there). There is going to be news here sooner or later. I can't tell you if it will be good or bad, but if it's good, it won't matter what your average is, it'll blow the bloody doors off. Yes it's frustrating waiting and you can't understand why the sp keeps dropping, but that's how it's always been here and it's not dissimilar to GGP before the blowout news. Imagine how you'd have regretted it if you'd sold out of there too early! Anyway, that's just my view, as a fellow GGP/SAR holder I felt it needed saying. Clearly this isn't intended to be advice, it's your call. FWIW I'm preparing to increase my holding here whilst the going is good.

Yes I watched the presentation and felt the same Monkshood. Certainly didn't make it any plainer to understand. Seemed completely oblivious to the £1.1186 indicative price, despite at least two brokers quoting it to their customers. Blindsided by the XD question in the context of the offer too, which I thought was poor (given it's significance). I'm with TheTrotsky (12:44), I think that's spot on. Just a pity we have to hear it on this board, not from THE Board...

Completely agree Laz, pulling some funds together as we speak. Just checked, my last sell was at 40.22 in May last year so will look to reinvest for twice as many shares if possible.

Coming back to TMIP, I wonder if the management team (well, Chris & Ed. I know Chris isn't officially management any more but still a significant shareholder here) have identified one or more potential distressed sellers of shipping businesses, given the dire situation for much of the industry currently? Would make for an interesting option; buy an existing business cheaply rather than re-buying vessels. Just my TMIP thought for the day - GLA. K

You can't take up the offer unless you're an existing shareholder, so I guess that means you'll have to buy in the market.

I wouldn't worry too much about the dividend. The NAV will automatically adjust for the dividend amount (2p) so that will bring the offer price closer to 112-113 based on current pricing. Will bring it much closer to the broker-indicated price of 111.86. Still not sure the "reward" for current holders (NAV +2%) is worth investing though, even saving on dealing costs.

Cooky, if you don't mind me asking, why are you trading this share if you don't know what's going on?

Well, pretty much as predicted! Underwater until the analysts Seminar began, then took off & looking like finishing up c. 2%. Hopefully they've firmed up the model for Action dividends, which apparently look staggering in about 6 years!! Hold for gold here.
