Another "steady as she goes" update rather than blowing the doors off. No doubt the market will disapprove again, although it will be interesting to see if that is tempered following the Capital Markets Seminar beginning at 10.00 today. Interestingly, for those who think III is likely to dispose of Action at some near point, the company has added another 2.2% of Action shares to the portfolio by printing more of it's own shares.

Thanks Sam. I had a quick look but couldn't turn much up other than they're an investment company. Surprised they've been able to accumulate that much free stock, unless there's a large willing seller out there somewhere?

How can you not be confident? If there'd been any adverse events the trial would have stopped and there'd have been news via RNS. Of course I'm confident.

Despite volatile intra-day trading this has finished between 1.26 & 1.59 every day since breccia news release. So ramp/deramp all you like, the reality is this is going nowhere until assay results or other significant news announced.

50p makes a lot of us millionaires. Anything less than exceptional assay results means 0.50p though.

Oh, one other thing. Special Distributable Reserve £350m; Merger Reserves £225m. Market cap £530m. I know they don't have much in the way of tangible assets as such, but come on...

For me the only disappointment is the dividend. EPS up 25% at 46p (36.9) but the interim has only grown from 26.5p to 27p. I guess they're looking to strengthen the balance sheet further, and perhaps aiming at a pay-out ratio around 50% of earnings? Everything else looks very positive to me, market steady so far which hasn't been the case with some of my other holdings after positive results.

Name change to Standard Life in March 2026. Think someone on here suggested that?

From today's Shares Magazine (which sadly closes at the end of September):

So it is, my spreadsheet is out of date. TRIG sp must have fallen pretty dramatically recently but then the whole renewables sector is out of favour. Think I might have to have another look at TRIG based on this update, thanks Tagvil.

Good question Tagvil. Both have performed similarly over 5 years (down about 1/3) and have similar yields. FWIW, I'm invested here and not in TRIG because the yield here is about 0.5% higher, but TRIG is on my watchlist & I'll probably invest there too at some point. So, you pays your money, you takes your choice for me. Appreciate this is not in-depth analysis or advice, just my thoughts off the top of my head. K

Don't knock it Gary59, I was very happy to collect my £56 as part of a diversified portfolio of dividend payers. Like others here, I'm tempted to add at these levels ahead of any potential recovery when common sense returns.

Goku67, please, no merger with CTY. It's hard enough to find decent, reliable income payers as it is without losing another!

Well it's not Armageddon but the dividend has taken a haircut from 6.2p (actual) to 5.6p (forecast), so more or less 10% reduction. Good to get the clarification though, and pretty much priced in after recent falls in the SP. Yield still ahead of AEWU, for comparison. I'll continue to hold both.
