I think a £50m buy back program would easily push the SP towards 40p as the free float is tiny, volume is very low so the ask would have to be significantly higher to attract sellers.

I have emailed twice regarding the importance of an early buy back program but I haven’t had a reply.
I understand the target was 0.5 but thing have changed and we should have countered it with lifting that target to say 0.6 or give the market a proper timeframe. It’s all uncertainty again

If AB and EnQuest are serious about returning Shareholder Value then they must introduce buy backs now.
Or tell us exactly when they are going to start

It is entirely wrong for the Government to let energy bills rise in April.

Labour supports the campaign to stop bills going up- and we would fund it with a proper windfall tax on the oil and gas giants making record profits.

Maybe AB's retirement plan has changed and the aim is now is to make a offer for the company before returns start. He could then wind the company down over the next 10 years making a huge retirement pot for him and his family.

They are taking advantage of the fact AB can’t buy their borrowed stock until after the results are released, but if the price of oil climbs a little then they maybe forced to buy that stock back quicker than expected.
