With all the talk about proving phase 1 before next funding maybe this will bring forward our timeline as it will create a focus and deadline We have been told Cobra already manufacturing. How long did it to prove safety in last springs trials for Oxford for example

Crumbs. Cepi got involved with Novavax and their SP went from $6 to $300. Can’t see the conflict. Even with it being over bought with it slipping below $200 it is moving back towards its peak

The government are already working with Cepi who were heavily involved with Oxford & NoVavax vaccines. Don’t forget there is the £1bn Government/UAE fund where Nottingham was mentioned as a key hub. This is a commercial and political minefield and we are in the game. The key issue is the phase 1 trial which is hopefully soon. We know Cobra (who manufactured Az/Oxford) are on the case. Let’s get past that and the world is our oyster. Prize is too good to be true!

Have no idea. Doesn’t also mean we won’t start trials before then. We have enough money to start. The winner would obviously have to be very Covax focussed. Cepi have got 5 vaccines to market so if we do get their backing it’s game on.

Having read this rubbish in the Mail this morning, I will stand by my projection that when our Universal Vaccine is announced going in trials and developments thereafter, this share will be ridiculously overbought, the scale of which will be dependent on partners and publicity AIMHO.

Novavax I who was the headline act today is a Cepi project working with the government GSK looking for business working with the government BioNTech, with whom we have a relationship been dropped by Pfizer also free and available. So many possibilities and all not pie in the sky dreams. Certainly very interesting times

Crumbs, I am trying to remember what happened with the Oxford Vaccine. What was announced by whom and when. There was the 5pm press conferences, there was the big Oxford press conference in the morning, lots of Andrew Marr stuff all quite early on. If/when Cepi happens it will be a big coordinated effort including government, Covax , our MHRA and a big pharma which is what happened with the Oxford vax. We will see. Obviously that is my dream scenario which is not too off the scale given what we know. Unless the other bits are in place the start of the trial is not so relevant if it is to come to market in a relatively short space of time.

AB, I don't disagree. I am rubbish at trading within small margins. Hopefully as it moves up, i will have decisions to make and yes of course i think about it. I know Novavax was an extreme example , but it went from $6 to over $300 with Cepi involvement with their Covid vaccine before going to below $200 and now moving back again on release of their product. In that context, as i said as an extreme your point is very relevant.
