What are people’s thoughts on Petro China paying us next week? If it’s a system issue it should be corrected and we should receive 3 months payment.

However if it’s the Chinese playing games do we lose the 3 months worth of money and have to send it to another refinery and increase our costs? We can’t keep sending them oil if they won’t pay us??? It’s annoying we didn’t find out about this until the day so we could ask him what his contingency would be.

I’m surprised no one else has mentioned this recently, kinda feels like a binary play, get paid we get a nice rerate, if no payment the sp tanks…….

Flat white it’s difficult, I got in just under the placing price so my buy in is around 0.78. For it to reach a penny that be around 25% increase, I’m hoping that maybe it can reach 1.5 pence to double my money, if heron 2 comes in I can see that being possible however it’s a risk holding for results.

I’ll see what the sp is like near the end if testing and maybe sell into a fomo Friday but it depends how high it gets but I’d be happy with 1.5 so that’s my target price.

Next week is critical for the business they haven’t been paid in 2 months due to ‘system issues’ if they get paid for last month plus the two before the sp will rerate massively I think but if we don’t get paid I think it will tank as that wouid suggest the Chinese are playing games rather than just system issues as they suggest…. That would mean that we may have to get a new contractor and it be higher costs plus the shorty term disruption

Its been a good year, Im prob on course to actually make a profit overall. I'm up about 25% so far, if MATD comes up good that will be excellent as I've put in about 60% of my portfolio so a good run their could see me double my money this year.

Thats why I sold Panr yesterday, Id made 40% and felt its safer sometimes to bank the cash. I may buy back in but it depends what the SP does in the coming weeks.

Dai ill take a 2 bagger, 10 bagger id never hold that long id be getting giddy with all the gains so id of sold way before and sat on the sides as it goes up lol

Mlbeck I don’t mock lth I don’t want to see anyone losing money here but it’s part of the game unfortunately. I hope you recover your losses either here or on another share.

Sorry you don’t seem to make sense, the sp is down 6/7 times and you think it’s still a good hold? If it’s dropped that much I guess you may as well hold as 6/7 times down isn’t much different to 8/9 times down you may as well risk in hole you recover some of your money.

I’m no pro but what I do is watch my share and if it’s dropping more than 20% consider should I sell up and maybe buy back in down the line. If you let it drop too much you feel obliged to keep holding as you have lost so much already

I think when you invest when in drops say 20-30% you just have to walk. Get out and assess the damage it could be you buy back in down the line but the most important thing is to protect your capital. Letting it drop 6-7 times basically erodes what you have invested and you’ll never get that back so you might as well sell this winter and learn from the experience

I hate to agree with margaritas but aim is designed to screw over its investors. You’re better off trading the share rather than holding long term. I can’t think of many that have given share holders s good return yet many lose money like here. With Matd it’s safer to buy after the annual raise then sell during the drilling season. Do that with a few companies a year and you’ll be dong ok.

Just posted the question re how long the lateral drilling will be and a poster said they did a lateral drill a few years back and it took 20 days. We don’t know the difference in lengths but it’s reasonable to presume the next part of the drilling will take 20 days so we’re looking at an update around 8th September time.

Does any one know how long the lateral drill will take? The vertical took 4 weeks but I have no idea how long the lateral takes?

Horult below is the timeline of their last drill and the SP prices

Last year in November they spud on 11th Nov the SP was 28.2 pence (They raised at 22 pence I believe)

On 10th December they released an RNS stating a discovery which pushed the SP from 23.45 (closing price on the 9th to 26 pence.

22nd January they gave another update to say they were going to do 4 different flow tests the SP by then was 39 pence

14th April Announced a duster the SP was at 52 pence, at the peak it reached 70 pence on 14th March.

This time they have the second part of the drill to do, I cant see any time lines for this so cant gather if its a week long event or a 4 week event. The SP peaked mid way through flow testing which suggests that this still has legs so I may of jumped ship a little early but I do think the SP will pull back after the two days of rises so I think their is still a trade in this. If I cant get a decent buy in I still think MATD has a good 30-40% gain to have.

Its been pulling back from its peak, I've made 40% similar to you Horult so took the cash and banked it. Im gonna watch to see what the SP does over the coming weeks and I may buy back in if I see a trading opportunity. Im not sure if you saw the post I put up the other day for Dai. Ill post it below.

I know what you mean lol Its tempting to cash out now but this tripled earlier in the year, I can see it doing the same, maybe sell some now and hold the rest a little longer.

Good to see the flow testing equipment is finally here, took longer than expected but they have moved so fast you can’t really blame them I guess just logistically issues. This will be a big test as it will open up the other dome for further exploration of its successful

Drill complete with an extra rampy rns which is great, they hit a larger interval than expected. 26% that’s huge so really positive for the future, they are now doing a lateral drill.

During the last drill this is when the sp took off so hopefully he will see the same here

Looks good and they are progressing with the lateral flow test. 26-% larger is significant that will help boost the estimated resources down their!

Wil it go up 10% I think it’s a fair guess it’s not a production well so not gonna go crazy but the first bit of drilling is complete and looking good so deffo a big milestone

I’d like to think the odds are better in our favour on this one, I don’t usually hold this late into a drill however the sp hasn’t moved during the drill much and I feel the big gains will be during testing like earlier in the year. I’ll be relieved when they confirm the drill has gone to plan and they are doing the lateral part as I think that’s key with this drilling operation

Well they haven’t said how long the drill will take, the last two have taken 3 and 4 weeks, I believe Tuesday will be the end of week 4 so hopefully news is due very soon.

We had that second video earlier in the week which I think is positive, usually when things arnt going to plan the company remains quite.

I remember adv when the ceo said in an interview that the Champaign was on ice only a few days later to announce a duster, it’s not the false hope it’s the fear of being seen as a txxt and the grief you’ll get from it.

Hopefully we will get an update early next week to say the first stage has gone well.
