Unsure how to read that.. Taken from MHRA requirements..?

It is known the MHRA requires a specificity of greater than 98% for rapid antibody tests which adds weight to the likelihood of Omega Diagnostics and the UK RTC receiving the approval needed for home-use of the antibody test. However, with 97.7% sensitivity the question mark remains if it will meet the adjacent sensitivity MHRA guidelines that are also greater than 98%.

Could this be why we haven’t had MHRA update?

There was.. they’ve been piloting pregnancy antibody tests For a while now.. also this is still on there when you press apply Nothing new at all other than NI added.

The test is a ‘fingerprick’ blood test which checks for coronavirus antibodies.

The test kit is posted to you. It comes with everything you need. You take the test and post your sample back. Then you’ll get your results.

Performance characteristics were established in a prospective study using 202 nasopharyngeal swabs from symptomatic patients in Malaysia. Results were compared to a those obtained using a commercial molecular test and sensitivity was shown to be 84.38%.

Highly doubt the UK government would commit to that..

Not checked over the weekend but the us has approved there first POC antibody testing kit and very surprised that it’s Chinese based.. you’d think trump would be boycotting them..!
