“Walmart WMT is shopping in the TV aisle to help grow its advertising business.
The retail giant is in talks to buy smart television-manufacturer Vizio VZIO for more than $2 billion, according to people familiar with the situation. The move would give Walmart more places where it can sell ads and pitch shoppers on goods.”
Now would be a good time for Nanoco to be looking at exactly what quantum dots are in Vizio’s QD TV’s!

Walmart, including its Sam’s Club chain, has historically been Vizio’s largest customer. Vizio is historically the largest television brand sold at Walmart by sales.
Who exactly manufactures TVs for Vizio? According to a Feb. 2023 Zeebox article, there are now eight different companies that Vizio outsources its TV manufacturing to: AmTran Technology, Foxconn, BOE, Innolux, KIE, Tonly, TPV, and Zylux.9 Oct 2023
They do not use Samsung display…so either using cadmium QDs or likely infringing through a supplier.
