Even just erskine. Wasn't oil at $40 ish most last year and they still made what £20 mill profit? So if breakeven is $15, $40 was $25 higher and thjs yr it's another $25 higher. Obviously very rudimentary calc but erskin3 shd be throwing off $30/$40mill this yr?
I would however have expected rns for taking operation of bkr assets
Not so sure. Any other operators released restart rns? Nothing on bp or enquest rns but then I don't know who uses forties line? All in public domain so maybe no need to rns it?
Well think last yrs end of yr results were published start April time. So expect same this yr along with an operations update. That should give us a very clear picture of acquisition Impact and probably see a mass of interest and sp rise when the markets can see firm figures. Personally if the peel hunt / stocko is accurate then I can't see why we should get rated on pe of 8 to 10 on an eps of 32 ( although that may have been cents not pennies.)
Ha. The people buying and value of this deal is over the next few years and future of coy. Given we don't even start receiving cash from bkr until Jan id say this has little to no effect. Especially not on the actual investment case for sqz. Worst it does it very slightly dampen cash flow for a few weeks, while pushing up oil prices for when we take over bkr. Still it could have a very short term effect on sp but not for anyone lookong to hold for next 6 months to years + it doesn't factor into any assesment of coy value and potential which it what is causing people to currently buy sqz.
many thanks sasa, interesting info, useful sometimes to just write out thoughts to take note of where we are. I'm normaly a trend follower breakout/ swing trader so will probably let SQZ find its feet over next few months and then revert to higher high/ higher lows etc.
Agree. Question is, i have a bit of an obscene position size on this one for me. Which Was a massive and probably stupid gamble that luckily has paid off( been in since April march time). At some point I need to slice and derisk, any price from now on would do that and still be a great return but as everyone says unless we are all missing something and assuming chance of deal going through is v high ( perhaps we shouldn't be assuming this?) I just can't bring myself to do it till were at least in low to mid £1 Mark....
I would imagine the stockopedia estimated figures are from the peel hunt update as they're the only broker to have revised so far I believe.
To be honest the sums going around seem nuts but look like they work out. If they are looking at plus or minus 100mill net profit 2018!? With cash oile of $ 190 odd mill year emd 2019. I mean even pe of 8 is 800mill market cap!
i like your enthusiasm scott but would not a p/e of 10 or so be more realistic....?
And I assume still considerable upside in value if Columbus and rowallan and r3 are succesfull
whats the chances that chrysaor or similar would now find SQZ an interesting bid opp as well?
Well let's hope run up to Christmas has a bit more news. Do we get an interim trading update at end yr or is next one on report of yr end result due around April historically.
Could someone remind when and if on track the chrysaor purchase is due to complete? If there is an acquisition in the wings is there any reason to think it maybe soon after chrysaor or completely unrelated?
Do they thou. Their actual priority should advancing and running the company. Not worrying about every tick in sp which doesnt really affect the business at all.
Yup, treat PI's like ****. So much for the supposed results were supposed to be what 4, 6 weeks ago?? For what it's worth, sharescope still says due today, with side note of unconfirmed. I'm assuming 6pm this eve.
No doubt with wsbn / poulden they don't give 2 **** about PI's. 2 back to back placings last yr, poorly worded RNS's, months to release results. Same MO with his other companies, just look at pcge! Nope, Def not here for the bod but for the underlying potential of coy. If they hit their target 100kg a week then we should be looking at 1.5 to 2p. However last time they said they were on course and we know how that ended!
