Before we crucify them, it is also worth remembering that the goalposts have significantly shifted on them. They spent 12 months carrying out due diligence on an oncology biotech entering a programme of clinical trials. Those trials are seemingly on hold and the company has shifted focus onto a viral vaccine. This has likely invalidated all of their due diligence and undermined their investment decision. With that in mind, I don't think it unreasonable that they would de-risk some of their investment by taking some profit.

Trump exploded the deficit and stripped Pandemic response teams as part of his big tax giveaway. Now he has very little options open. Trying to focus on the economic crisis rather than the public health crisis for political reasons, will ultimately lead to the bigger economic crisis.

@Chester yes this is a science based company, primarily driven by scientists, but it is funded by the shareholders who have been very patient and supportive. It is not as simple to just say that shareholders have to sit back, be quiet and wait some more or they will find it increasingly difficult to raise money.

I hope you are right about news on the SCIB trial soon. I've got to admit that i am incredibly disappointed that a trial that was originally announced 4 and a half years ago did not hit the ground running when the IND was approved. Or at least the plans ready to be communicated.

and that is how much you pay for someone just to identify a candidate. How much for an identified candidate that is proven pre-clinically to be very successful?

i also wondered if by holding back dosing in the UK, they could still allow Dr Flaherty to be the lead clinician over the whole trial, whereas if they had started dosing in the UK it would remain under the UK clinician. If they knew the approval would be due from the IND within a matter of months it may have been worth "starting" the UK trial without actually starting?

SB has confirmed to me by email that it is a Tier 2 listing application. Renewed prospectus is due to be published on Sedar in the next couple of weeks.

this post doesn't make sense to me. There are only 2 formal tiers on the TSXV, with Tier 1 being the highest and Tier 2 being lower. Tier 3 (which i struggle to find reference to) seems to be the equivalent of an OTC market.

Could we get some clarification on this?

I imagine a commercial deal for Modi 1 TCR would require a payment up front, with much larger milestone payments towards the end. So BioNTech would need not just the money now, but also the means to raise greater amounts in the future. Maybe that's why they are listing?

yes thats what i was hoping... it didn't "sink in" before Bermudashorts post, that Ichor had appointed a separate manufacturer. I would have thought key aspects of the New Device application would have been details on the proposed manufacturing. Could it be that it was these details the FDA were chasing? If so - lets hope that Flextronics post is indication of progress.

@Ray - just on your point about Sally being optimistic of all patients enrolled by next year. Its my recollection from the recording (someone may want to go back and check) was that she said the original target based on having all of the trial centres open, would have been all patients enrolled be the end of next year. That would be less likely with a single site open, but that they hoped to add more UK sites once the NHS trusts agreed to pay for the CI, and a US site once the FDA approved the trial.

Which i guess means the longer it takes to bring those trial sites online, the less likely we are to hit that target.
