The results are released in February and September with IMS updates in May and November. So unless there is corporate action, news on Autofocus or a holdings RNS - it will be 3/4 weeks before we hear news. I don't know about you but I will buy on weakness and reduce on any share price strength. GLA

Sorry to hear this - it seems almost all sectors are still suffering from this depression which will continue for years to come imo. Helphire has done well to survive the downturn but it is still tough out there - that's why reducing the debt and considering a merger or acquisition at some point soon is vital for the long term imo

Yes I heard yesterday there were record car sales in 2012 so a positive. The advfn link relates to two separate Accident Exchange court hearing stories which suggest the likelihood of a successful appeal for additional compensation is good

Wow 50% in one day although you have to remember the spread wipes out some of the gain. Another website is talking about a 5p placing - definitely seems something is up! GLA

HNY - remember half the debt is fleet management related so probably the banks do not mind lending for this portion. The other £50 million needs to come down quite a bit before December 2014 and at least the Autofocus factor should put a bent in this and perhaps if the share price reacts well to this news the company might consider a rights issue/open offer at the same time to solve this issue once and for all? Halving the debt will save £3 million per year and probably ensure a return to net profits. I don't expect interest rates to move much for 2/3 years but they will eventually. The other questions are a) has any large rental company looked at Helphire recently? b) has Helphire looked at acquiring or merging with a law firm to achieve ABS model status and c) will Helphire consider bargaining for higher settlements if Accident Exchange is successful at the court hearing (although I doubt any reward will be anywhere near £100 million!). So much could (or may not) happen in the next few months I am happy to hold/add and wait. GLA

The last IMS stated hire days had stablised and might be edging back up. If turnover drops £12 million that does not translate to a significant pre tax profit change? Also no one outside the company yet knows the Autofocus amount! It could be a mere £4 million or £20 million plus. If you haven't noticed it has been mainly buyers over the last week - today it's the turn of the sellers to bank profits and move on. Personally I added back this week and will hold at least until February results now. As for 6p ... who knows, you might get this price later this year. GL

Positive RNS trading update - trading exceeded company expectations AND positive 2013 is forecasted

There's more followings over on advfn. The best thing about the last few weeks is that Schroders have stopped selling so I cannot see any reason why Craw cannot get back to 5p within a month (with or without an update) then some profit taking might kick in. GL

Posts recommended - people forget that when a share price underperforms it is not posters you should complain about - it's the company. I would really like a "reason/no reason for share price movement" rns but we didn't get one in October and it appears we will not get one now. Better communication from this company would be very welcomed instead of hearing whispers which may or may not be true. GLA

Please do not make this personal. Chipf was a long term shareholder and ex-employee of Helphire and since he knows more about the company than most of us - he was being realistic from previous experience of the HHR share price. I will be happy to see a new floor around 3p and a gradual move up during 2013.

Most of these threads contain hearsay, rumours, ramps and deramps if you haven't noticed. I heard a rumour but that is all it is - a rumour.

Maybe it's time to speak to your contacts at Helphire to see if anyone knows/thinks something is up?? I sold 3/4 of my holding recently at 2.5p banking a 70% profit but have brought back in this week on what I heard although no where near as many as last time. GL

Surely every £3 million received on the Autofocus settlements will add 1p to the share price? Still see upside here but probably more important is how current trading is performing. A continued recovery will provide a floor to the share price and perhaps 5p may be fair value later this year - presuming no corp activity?

It's the same whispers either the Autofocus settlement amounts are now known or corporate activity - just as chipf said earlier today, we were led up the garden path last October - so I'll believe it when i see it. GLA
