Surely there should have been several holding RNSs over the last few months then? (a 1% increase in share issue appears to have happen at least 1/2 times as it only takes 24 million shares)

Half year results likely soon which may signal whether there has been an improvement in trading - could be a good time to take a position here

Agree about the link and I should have been clear that his other points/posts of last night were interesting and should be put on the other BBs - not the one particular post that had a link

Also post this on advfn please - there is one poster there who has an agenda and facts might help others weight up the situation. For example, he still reckons the company will be valued at £ 10 million even if £ 1.5 billion debt is written off - what nonsense as the balance sheet for look a lot healthier (for a start).

I don't think anyone really knows because it depends on sentiment towards the reason for issuing new shares. A small drop in the share price is general is usual when a placing takes place gl

I would have thought most private investors who wanted to exit would have done so by now as this is not the first such RNS or newspaper article from The Sunday Times. Agree you might as well stick it to the very end now gl

I suggest you stick to commenting on the situation here and not worry about the odd mistake in other posters' comments because I would like to know why you singled me out? I know a few guys in work from Yorkshire - grumpy, moody and picky - didn't realise it was such a dreadful place to live.

I presume 50% but I note elsewhere that a takeover of ENRC will require 75% so maybe it is different for each company depending on their articles of association etc?

Excellent news - this issue is moving fast and I might buy a small amount next week to join the group. Several points 1) the newspaper said the company was loss making - I thought it was still making a profit and it was the goodwill write down that pushed the company into a loss last year? 2) the newspaper stated interest was £ 160 million but the company debt has fallen from £ 3 billion to £ 2.1 billion and had made several purchases of debt at a discount - until it (appears) stopped doing this to "talk" to the lenders 3) the company could have waited until now until discussing the debt as it does not mature until next year and finally 4) the newspaper reckons £ 1.5 billion of debt will be written off to take control of the company - so it makes the current market value of £ 10 million appear not only very cheap but engineered (by the hedge funds)

Seems like this newspaper knows more about the D4E than shareholders (the owners of the company) do. Quite a write up 1) £1.5 billion in debt written off 2) shareholders wiped out and 3) six major vulture funds the main movers behind this plan. Time to speed up the action group plans to hit 10% of the share issue and demand an EGM?

I wouldn't advise anyone to buy Hibu shares now - only if they like an ultra high risk gamble and have cash they can afford to lose. However I would also not sell at 0.4p if I was an existing shareholder because "little" can be 0.001p or 1p - it did not state just "no value" in the latest RNS. It is unclear whether the company will remain listed after the D4E but as an ex shareholder I hope no one party (hedge funds/lenders/shareholders) if seen as a clear "winner" in this sorry mess...

The market value is currently only £ 10 million so if Hibu decide to raise £ 500 million in new shares in exchange for debt then existing shareholders will end up with just 2% of the revised share issue. Best case appears to be that Hibu only raises £200 million in new equity and buys back £ 400-600 million in debt ie. 30p in the pound. This option probably will be the one that would offer a return for shareholders from here. I also expect a share consolidation post D4E. Hopefully whatever is decided it will be in June as this is probably torture for existing shareholders.
