Placing. Not sure it's so over valued now, Adam...
LOL ok so you don't like the AIM market - fair enough. So tell us a different route to the market for small cap - higher risk - start up - companies? There's Britdaq ... there's the FTSE smaller companies index... have I missed any? AIM serves a purpose - and every year when you see the top risers and fallers .. you will have a few companies that have risen 800% and a few that have fallen 95%... some obviously going bust during the year. So it's high risk - but there are winners - it's picking them !!!!!!!!
...V..A..R...??
We will have to disagree - I still think buying debt at a discount is a positive.. the balance sheet is probably a lot "cleaner" than - say - three years ago. I also think there has been some real pro-active action from this team over the last few years.. however, I am deeply disappointed that it is only today we find out that the villas will not be part of the proceeds - why not say sooner? Personally it feels like FG is trying to clean the desks of all the old assets - which is taking longer than expected - so that new investments - like the two he mentions - generate meaningful returns over the next 5-10 years - which is what an investment company s/b doing. (btw you are not LtdAxis in disguise? Just the tone is very similar although I accept the RNS reception has been luke warm to say the least - but as a shareholder, I will always look for the positives ahead of the negatives - and will sell if I don't see a long term future - with CLP, I do!)
linandy1, I have only just noticed the update so need to digest it but agree probably on balance more negatives than positives. However, re your comment about the company able to post any positive news - I do think repurchasing the debt at a sharp discount several times over the last year is an achievement - and hopefully the company will be able to do so again at a later date - also it looks likely the company will receive various claims (they probably will not win/lose them all) over the next 1-2 years - timing/amounts unknown. I guess investors do not like maybes and what ifs... personally I think the share price is now at a discount to NAV and oversold - I will be adding when funds are available GLA
Ok, but not the normal/usual way. Anyway I hope there's an update here soon.
I thought you might be interested to know what was being said elsewhere. Interestingly the thread has been taken down. Again you are right, he/she made a statement without evidence. Hence my.point, rarely do we see evidence either way. Any way doesn't effect anything except sentiment. It's not as if you can buy or sell on gossip atm
Why? Has there been a RNS? A news release? Or just BB gossip as per normal. According to a new thread on Advfn today the posters reckons the company is being investigated and shut down. See what I mean? Who to believe ?
Apparently it only takes five members to report a post for it to automatically get deleted - so a bit of self administration by bulls and bears alike on some threads...
LtdAxis, I can't remember you saying you had reinvested.. I do remember you saying that you had sold out. Btw I agree with you on one point - literally nothing said on a BB will make any one sensible investor buy or sell a share - I think Spary1 should realise that these websites should be used just for discussion - not investment decisions!
It they have a product .. then relist THEN ask for more cash. Thats transparent and fair. (Or at least have the IPO price and market clearly identified). TBH i doubt many will part with their cash again without a listing pending within a few weeks following the subscription.
A new CEO then. We expected .. no mention of the now ex shareholders.
I did like the comment below from the guy who told me I had gambled here.. who is now making a "pure gamble" ..you couldn't make it up...
Since you and a few others only seem to post on the one share that you cannot trade in and there's only hearsay about it ever relisting after thirty months!! I know who the sad ones are here. You can post in other shares you hold because you be mad just to have the one investment. Even Dougal posts elsewhere so fair play. I be the first on here to ear humble pie if something actually happens but I am a believer of the principal that the longer a share is dormant the less likely it is to return - at least not in the state it was before. I give it a 30% change. It be 20% by the year end. Just from experience. I actually will like you to get your money back . . But the fact this thread has become so active is actually a red flag imho
Re earlier reply... Yep it's groundhog Day every day here.. from both bull/bear sides .. I just look in now and then as an ex holder. Ditto kept looking in at Yell, Mtv, CPP and Wrn for quite a while .. eventually you will get bored but at least some of the believers are now saying they will give it just another 2-3 months which make sense..
I suppose if you keep saying the same thing over and over again for several years .. eventually it might either come true ... or you will accept reality as it appears to be ....
Spary1 - actually I have monitored the trades over the last few months ... and although I am not sad enough to add them up (why would I?) I am sure there have been more sells than buys - however this is LSE - and we know that trades listed are not always correct due to the mid price .. a sell can actually be a buy and vice versa. It just seems obvious to me that this has to be one of the key reasons for the share price weakness - plus poorly received results and extra shares in issue etc.
Yamsel - many thanks - I was hoping to find time to email them myself but no point know that you have done this - and good news an update is in the works :-)
TBH even when I held over 3% in a small cap company years ago - IR told me they could not give me price sensitive information so you would HOPE they treat all shareholders the same........
Excuse me, but the low share price has to do with a number of things including... more sellers than buyers over a long period of time... we had the results recently... and news flow is pending.. no one has to stay a shareholder .. if you are that unhappy then email investor relations !
