Think you have to look at the bigger picture this is Argentina's L......A....S....T CHANCE otherwise the country goes back to the dark ages. Your and my assets in Argentina just dropped over night considerably.

That's rubbish sadly. The geopolitical risks on our Argy based assets just went up 25%. Watch what happens to Argy credit spreads today they may well head back through a 1000. This is very very bad news.

This is probably the worst news for PPC in years sadly. This is unfortunately the last chance for Argentina if Macri loses then the country could go the way of Venezuela within two years. Just when the company was beginning to make headway this has happened.
Currency crisis, closed out of int'l markets, no credit, hyper inflation, corruption, military rule and people talking against the government disappearing .............the end

This really is the last chance for Argentina.

I guess it will be very interesting to see if Amerisur does get bought and if so at what valuation. It may indirectly lend support to our own share price.

RDA12 like me who has been invested for 7 years you are pretty pis*ed with the share price. However what Workover says is true, Paraguay is a gamble

As I mentioned last week with regard to taking the company private PL has no voting right on this. SO NO MORE SCAREMONGERING PLEASE. Count yourselves very lucky that in the event and lets hope it doesn't happen there is a support bid. Find me another company on aim like this.

Guys can we have sensible thoughts if this were to happen rather than scaremongering. I tried to suggest this a week or two ago. I am no expert on this matter but believe the following
1. buyer needs a minimum of 75% or greater
2. Not sure on this but think I read somewhere that if PL is the buyer his stock doesn't count not sure here
3 JPM and Shroders will own this stock in a fund which means they have an obligation to investors in fund and not as an institution.
4 Cannot see the IFC being any different really.

Repsol debacle, the mad bitch (CFK) (GEO POLITICAL) which sort of lead us to
Paraguay (did we bite off a little more than we could chew (YES)
Jacaranda (FAIL)
Lapacho (FAIL)
somebody dropping something down a f*cking well (BAD LUCK OR STUPIDITY) Lawsuit (forget that one)
the wrong pumps (BAD LUCK OR STUPIDITY)
BOTH OF THE ABOVE ARE DIFFICULT CALLS!!!
SEPTEMBER 17 PF/EV BLINDING DEAL AS IT TURNS OUT
SEPTEMBER 18 PP/LB looking as promising as PF/EV
STRONG END OF YEAR FINANCIALS

So where does this leave us
Well after many years of disappointment and then lets be honest a great 18 months we’re all pi**ed off the share price hasn’t reflected this.
Brokers range 16-19 pence
and now the company wants more money (Great)
well maybe it is great
I think the thing to do is ask yourself the question
AS A NEW INVESTOR HAVING DONE YOUR RESEARCH WOULD YOU BUY THESE SHARES AT 8 PENCE
I have to say the answer for me is a resounding yes by the bucket load if I had the cash with a exist point in 2-3 years
However I don’t and will not participate in this round and will have to hold a while longer to see my break even of 18 pence
Remember PL is in exactly the same position as most of us (average 18-20) ie 50% down oouch
He owns 30% show me another oil company where the chairman owns that %
Forget dividends
Forget buybacks
The outstanding debt due to PL in the last 18 months has served us well.
Without PL what interest would we have to pay I would be surprised if he is taking advantage on the rate as there must be some AIM regulation with regards to this
Oh and if all doesn’t go to plan and PL gets fed up and decides to take the company private then I presume he’ll have to pay a fair price ( 20+ pence) for sure
If anyone has a good relationship with with a broker would love to here some clarity on the procedure for him taking the company private
ie does he need 90% investor approval ANYONE GOT A SMART STOCKBROKER (is that an oxymoron)
Actually one last thing we rant about the company keeping us informed and to be honest they have become much more touchy feely than in the past but always room for improvement ie PL and RS within a regulatory framework set the bar even higher than you have.

I'm wrong but it has nothing to do with when selling has finish if a threshold is crossed you have two days by law.

All the interviews are 90% staged because he cannot release price sensitive information. However in the last core interview as i earlier hinted at PL HINTED that there was potentially so much more to the last two acquisitions than would of first sprung to mind. I think there is much more gas than he is letting on. Re taking the company private PL will have to pay, Shroders,JPM and the IFC are not fools. Today i'd expect he would have to pay north of 24 pence

Nothing of too much interest apart from PL eluded there was much more to the two new concessions than one might of thought which I sort of and hoped would be the case. Lets see

The issue is more one of no explanation old wells pre 4Q or three wells in last 4Q. 600 barrels is a huge amount for this company with its production. As an investor with a pretty sizeable position in this company for 7 years I want the BAD news as well as the GOOD. This is very shoddy of PPC.
