They are all underwater imo, share price has been an absolute disaster long term and the company release an ltip during the pusu. Think again what the main holders think about that. In any private company either the owner would imo sign it off if a takeover is coming or fire the entire board and management team. If spire doesn’t get sold at let’s say 260p the board will imo have to pay a massive special dividend (1.50£ or 1.40£?), otherwise the large shareholders may fire them/not reelect them at the next general meeting. Price atm is more driven by the war than anything.

For the 10th time: do you know what a slb is and how it works? Spire sell some hospitals and lease them back. They pay the proceeds as dividend. Why do you think this deal is so lucrative for PE? They would do the same. You keep confusing the source/funding of the divi with the simple ex-divi date.
