Thank you for posting this as it puts some context to the events of the last few days. It is the sort of response that a CEO who knows what he writes will quickly be in the public domain and be available to his companies partner. To me it says the results should have been released and we were expecting them to be, that we will make sure that the drilling results are entered as evidence in any 5% valuation, but there is nothing else we can do about the reluctance to drop the drilling results to the market. I get the feeling he accepts that we really are the junior here and that NC are calling the shots. Just my take, obviously others will read something different.
Exactly the same as what has happened to GGP. After every RNS the share price fell even after goodish news, immediate market reaction whereas if the information contained within the RNS was read and digested correctly, there was no need for such a violent reaction in the share price. I'm not experienced enough to understand why this is happening I can only surmise its due to short term investors looking for a quick profit or investors expecting a massive rise in the real short term?
He is right though regarding the delays on 212. I placed a buy order early yesterday afternoon just to top up, it wasn't filled until this morning after I wrote a strong complaint, of course I lost out (Again). At some point I will start selling everything I have and move my portfolio small as it is elsewhere.
If they are having sensitive discussions with NC either regarding a JV agreement or letting NC know that GGP are going alone on Scally or with another partner, or I suppose we should include the results are not as good as they hoped, then they wouldnt release the RNS I guess until that is sorted.
I rarely post as I am content to listen and learn from those who know what they are talking about and thank you to those for sharing. However thinking this post through using my own business experience, wouldnt seriously talking (Touting even) to other miners RIO being mentioned, to JV Scally with us if the results are as good as has been thrown about, cause some relationship issues with our existing partner who is now a long term partner and funder? I can see some benefit in letting NC know behind the scenes that they are not the only player in the market to drive a better deal, but initially and during negotiations I wouldnt be doing this in public, surely that would be a last resort once negotiations had broken down or failed. That is of course if GGP want to to partner with anyone and not go alone using the proceeds of HAV to fund the mine of course then running into initial capital or higher processing costs at Telfer.
