Shorting shares.15 Jan 2020 13:23
From all I have read on here, I dont think everyone understands what shorting a share is. (No names mentioned) However, as a rule it goes like this. You borrow shares from a broker, Once you have borrowed the shares, you pay a borrowers fee to the broker, you then sell the shares into the open market, Ideally, the share price drops, so you buy the shares back at a reduced price. You then give the shares you borrowed back to the broker and keep the cash you just made. Now on that simple rule, you have to have a great relationship with your broker ot do this. But you also need to be able to sell them back in to the open market. Now, I personally dont think many people can do this. However, someone with a lot of money and inside knowledge could. Make your own mind up as to who it could be, but my money would be on one or all the following: Zaza, Steve, YA, Malcolm. NOTE: This is not an accusation in anyway, it is just my opinion.
