Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
If anyone believes this is gonna be sold for a billion dollars now they are living in cloud cuckoo land. All signs point to MVR building up a behemoth themselves imo; they now have the name, the clientele and a usp that cannot be rivalled. We could be talking a $10 to $20 billion business here in 5 years time, maybe then they will sell to a giant. No one is gonna be getting this on the cheap now, Spotify have missed their chance to get us on the cheap. $3 billion minimum now, the price doubles year on year from here on in. Caveat emptor!
STF up puddin get back in your box you cretin!
Depends on the RNS... if it's the full line up of workd class stars for brixton allied with the release of a subscription model and the VR viewer then 20p + will be the pretty sharpish order of the day! Coming soon Jamie! Now time for Kesha! :)
Horse mouth good riddance to you sir you've been a complete a$$ from day one! The poor EUA board have neigh idea what they are in for! sums the guy up holding through the bad times then selling on the cusp of greatness. Warra joker!
yep V is not a 360 degree festival just a rehash of old footage with some new standard recorded material thrown in.
Anyone got a view on why the Nelly viewing figures are so low? 30k youtube viewers out of 3.3 million inundated twitter followers strikes me as absolutely terrible?
That was my favourite show yet on MVR Nelly was superb and having his brother involved made it really something quite unique. The streaming was almost flawless for me this time (just a tiny hiccup right at the end) which is an improvement on the previous live gigs... I was surprised at how good that album is... I only ever knew a few of Nellys more famous cheesy singles but he is actually a very credible artist.. has a very soulful voice and mixes genres very well. Was interesting to hear his anecdotes about how and why his style of music came about being from the mid west. One thing I've found about MVR is that it is is challenging me to listen to music I wouldnt normally do, if it was just a record I wouldnt listen to most of the things they are putting out, but the visual extravaganza they put on in the studio allied to seeing the artist so close up really hooks you into each performance. I think this little app might just have a very bright future! :)
the $100M apple buyout of NextVR is an irrelevant figure... it was a dying company on the edge of going bust. So forget about those sorts of valuations! But you're right there is no else to buyout other than us tick tock tick tock!

Please read my earlier posts about the VR viewer which will be packaged with all subscriptions... I agree VR viewer is a vital bit of kit. The audience I describe is over a billion people worldwide... i cant wait to see the full Nelly gig tomorrow night live from LA... even if social distancing wasnt a thing not many could go see that gig in person but many will be watching live on the app. Similar to the several hundred thousand that tuned in for wireless festival. Cant wait for the paid gigs from the iconic Brixton Academy either. MVR has never been about Covid, what they have done though in that time is establish two incredible studios in LA and London that are rolling out regular acts building the library on a weekly basis and they have proved up the concept during a 3 day festival which was very popular and had quite superb production.
And listen to this a few of our investment group have been given the heads up that MVR will only be sold for a minimum of $3 billion. An offer of $1billion has reportedly been turned down. I wont be saying anymore about this on here but that is from the horses mouth. And I dont mean that jackar$e on here!!
Oh god Geordie Bores is back!!! :( Same rules apply as have always applied here Geordie the vast majority of people always have and always will prefer to go and see a gig live... common sense! This app is for those people who either cant make it due to physical location, cant afford it due to money constraints, dont have the time or inclination, dont like crowded sweaty places etc etc etc. This is the most basic concept of the entire company which you STILL FAIL TO GRASP! YAAAAAAWN!
50rrell agreed Donna Missall was an excellent watch one of my favourites so far, again never heard of her before but she has a fine pair of lungs on her and really engaged with the cameras etc was great viewing!
TBB but they would only become obsolete if there was a credible alternative and unless you spend £300 + there isnt? Not many music fans are going to go out and buy an Oculus or whatever other headset just to watch Melody VR on but they would love to have a way of experiencing the full VR experience I'm quite sure which the packaged viewer will give them. I've got my Oculus Go and literally only use it for Melody now I wont be upgrading to another headset as I'm not really into gaming etc. the Go is good enough to give me what I need for Melody for years to come and so will the viewer.
I totally disagree with you there BadBat I think the viewer is extremely important in giving customers instant access to the full Melody VR effect. Once they have witnessed that rather than just through the phone app they will be totally hooked IMO and willing to spend way more money on downloads. The full VR experience destroys the phone experience and is what our company is all about let's face it. The idea with the viewer surely will be to include it within the subscription package to give the customer instant VR access without the need for buying a very expensive VR kit. I think it will massively help VR go mainstream especially if it is as good a quality as the Oculus Go as they said it would be.
Yes I noticed that too very odd as totally eclipses anything else I have seen before on a MVR twitter post and that for a gig he did ages ago and that's been on the app for a long time. Even more odd the facebook followers are still on 59,000 which it has been on for months now. Even more odd the play store app is still showing at 50k + downloads after Wireless Connect where supposedly they had over 1 million interactions. The moral of the story? Dont believe any of these stats there are larger forces at work here that are keeping this share price down and I personally believe Melody want it to be kept down until the time is right. Why? Well that is an interesting question...
The wonderful thing about these studios we now have is that the content just keeps rolling out and our library keeps building and building.... as Nelly says in the promo "I hope people will be watching this anniversary show in another 20 years time". Ultimately what will win this tech war is content not technology as that can be copied... but with every single show that we roll out it just takes us another step ahead of the competition.. that Nelly gig alone could earn Melody serious money in the next 10 years when they go to subscription model as many fans who wont see this gig will be enticed to sign up to view it in future. These studios are an absolute diamond.
Looking forward to the Optimist taking off all his clothes on hearing this news bet the old boy is delighted!!
Mels mysterious "August" claims... a thing of MVR bulletin board legend... like kaiser soze its merely whispered about in hallowed circles... no one quite knows what it means... but the legend grows all the same.... roll on August... whatever it shall bring....
Comical the modeller thinks live nation reads the LSE bulletin boards of another company and thinks theyll kick MVR into touch as 3 or 4 investors have slighted their companies offerings? I think we can all truly agree now he really is a complete clown! Laughable desperation!!!
Agree with BG there about these drive in concerts I've never understood all the chat on here about those they sound absolutely dreadful! why the f$ck would you want to sit inside your car and listen to a band through your wound down side window swan necking over other cars as you do so!? its sounds like something out of the Happy Days and not at all what a forward thinking revolutionary company like MVR would want to be associated with. The line ups hardly earth shattering either. Theres no way we will be on side with everything live nation do... but hopefully if these gigs from london are a roaring success our relationship will get stronger and stronger. It's all a bit of a social experiment at the moment lets be quite honest, I'm sure LN would like to see a bit more from the financial side of things before throwing the entire weight behind MVR... and who knows a juicy £1 billion plus buyout eventually!?
