10s of thousands of tickets sold from the app - great figures considering they cost £5 more than via ticketmaster / direct through the artists website! shame they weren't allowed / didnt have jurisdiction to release the real sales figures from live nation but hopefully they will come out in the wash! can you imagine how many overall sales LG made if 10s of thousands paid £5 extra through the app sales!? Mindblowing!!
Ubuntu - agree with all you say - again Robdicus is being unnecessarily negative (seems to be a common them from him) - nicki Lambert is doing a great job and is essential to our future success - the way she engineered liam Gallagher to appear on the jimmy Fallon show with barack obama the night before his Thames gig absolutely blew my mind - that was a marketing masterstroke so adept and adroit to be nothing short of genius - and will be one of the big reasons for the monumental viewing figures. The only thing I'd query is that you seem to suggest the Melody name could survive - I thought the acquisition RNS had made clear that Napster will be the surviving entity once the apps are merged so what makes you think the Melody name will survive? Maybe I have misunderstood? Personally I wanted the Melody name to survive as I think it is a much more powerful brand name than Napster (taking away the obvious status and infamy that the Napster name has) but the way I read it was that Melody will be no more. How do you see it surviving once the apps merge?
No it's been confirmed in the GM that no more shares are due to rhapsody in spite of the 4.3p clause they stuck to the 200 million and now following Admission the Company's total number of Ordinary Shares will be 2,463,195,763.
It is not my place to provide evidence I will allow the conpany to do that in their own time and at their own speed.
OH MY GOD! You are lost! FILTERED!
Geordie - over a million people watched the Liam Gallagher gig, 400k watched the Boy George gig, 9 million watched the dua lipa gig. None of those gigs were in VR. Does that answer your question?
I hope you're right 50rrell as we are all facing extra dilution if they dont get the SP over 4.3p within the next few days - we know there is big news to come but talk about leaving it until the last minute!
cant stand these "dont destroy someone for holding a different position" posts... people can think what they want but if they are going to post on a bulletin board which can influence other people buying or selling they need to post credible facts... saying that the dua lipa figures were purely because the gig was free is a complete lie and needs outing as such! There is huge worldwide demand for paid music streams which the poster is massively downplaying and misrepresenting- there is no place for flim flam on this board this is serious business and there are too many wishy washy posters making nonsense up to put off others from buying. If people insist on posting things that arent credible then expect to be called up on them by long term holders who know where this is going!
so between 6 to 7 million paid ticket sales yes? you
are deliberately choosing snippets of the story to suit your own narrative:

Oh and look just before the gig she was on the Jimmy Fallon show hyping up her ticket sales just like someone else we know:

Now I wonder what those LG figures could be!? :)
you mean overly factual conversations? you said the dua lipa stream was free.. WRONG. You have consistently said lack of app downloads are proof of poor ticket sales. WRONG. I will let others decide who is emotive here and who is just spinning a yarn to suit their own devious ends.
Let's get the facts straight Ridiculous... I mean Robidicus. 1.9 million tickets were from china and the cost of purchase was $18.50 for a single ticket or $25 for a VIP ticket. The vast majority of people watched the LG gig on their tv via the web browser so didnt need to download the app to watch it. Are you deramping and making up I'll informed facts for a reason or just to be controversial cos you are coming across as a complete wacko!
"borderline imbecile" that made me laugh as it is a very true statement! LG was on one of America's top chat shows with Barack Obama plugging the gig the day before and people expect the figures to be at the 15k mark! WOW!!!
I've done more than hear it ;) 15k for a worldwide available and advertised gig by the king of rock n roll would be absolutely pitiful! Watch and learn kid! Dua lipa was close to 9 million sales in the end why you think LG should be happy with 15k is truly mystifying!
15k guys what planet are you on!?? completely clueless!!!! I think anyone who comes out with such trips should be ignored from all future postings! away with the fairies!!!
TBB happy to play along:
1) Humble pie cos last year Santa refused matchetts request of a Santa rally but this year he admits they are too big to turn down and MVR shareholders are getting presents galore.
2) Global Giant by Burna Boy - appropriate in several respects.
3) Blue Christmas by Elvis as the MVR SP surges!
Booooring! We all know the deal is done stop making out like it hasn't find another axe to grind!
Theres always been a few fried eggs on here but people, it is no yolk, humble little Melody VR now OWN the giant Napster and dont let anyone tell you otherwise! Dont crack up on the precipice and become a numpty dumpty, hold on tight we are in for a simply eggscellent 2021!
TBB I know you are, you are generally one of the more positive posters on here so surprised to see you taking such a negative slant, however it is understandable given this tumbleweed we have met from the company on relist which has created investor paranoia and trader sell off. However the facts remain - by the end of this year we will own outright one of the most legendary names in music streaming with millions of customers and contacts to all the major telcos in the world - and the debts will have been written off and we will now be shareholders in a successfully financed and very well positioned company. And you can buy shares in that company for just over 3p... go figure!! And I dont imagine the deal will affect the royalty payments but those finer details will I'm sure be revealed in the fullness of time.
TBB common sense old bean! Why pay for a music subscription that gives only audio streaming when you can pay for one that does the same and shows live and pre recorded gigs in VR as well accessible on any platform you care to name? And the deal is done so I would stop putting the message out there that there is any threat of it falling through as it's just making you look daft!
Yes that's being written off as set out in the resubmission document. We do own it there is zero danger there anyone selling cos they think the deal wont go through is in for a big shock!
