I think Putin has lost the plot and there should have been a far better way of resolving this before waging war on the Ukrainian people, however anyone who thinks 'The West', and I include UK along with USA, is entirely blameless is naive. There's always tinder boxes based on history which we don't understand; are we to forget Northern Ireland for example? Some people thought the British were right, some, including major benefactors from USA, thought they were wrong. It's a smaller scale but there's nearly always two sides to an argument.

I will note though that I think Ukraine's attempts to join NATO have constantly been rebuked however it didn't stop their president from refusing to rule it out and regularly court the possibility. I have an element of sympathy with Russia for them being nervous about this but not to the extent that it justifies what we are seeing at the moment.

I feel that the purported sale of assets should have been done and dusted by now, and that is their responsibility.

So with the NDAs they have negotiated themselves into a position that they cannot tell us or the markets anything. I know some will differ but I feel they are now being used to hide behind as opposed to what they are meant for.

The terrible situation in Ukraine doesn't give the BOD immunity from criticism. They've made a right balls up.

Bad weather is being reported in the news (Reuters). The helicopter pilot reported worsening weather and went off radar and looks totally unrelated to the conflict. Seems like Sherwood would like further escalations, pretty sad really.
