Keep the faith everyone. I've been in this since March & have kept adding when I can. Patience is the key. I was in Synairgen since March also. That was a tough couple of months watching the sp creep lower but kept adding knowing one day news would come & it would fly. Sold out and ploughed the profits into topping up holdings in Nova & Omega. £7 was my target in March. That might be a bit low now. Good luck.
I agree Dave they might have to put something out there. In what format is the question.Do we know what the problem is exactly with Randox test's? Is it a lab thing or is it problems on site taking the tests? If it's a lab problem then Primer just need to highlight in their blogs the high specifity of their test's etc. If it's an on site problem, i.e the end of the swab getting stuck up nostril's & this get's into mainstream media that is a different kettle of fish. All swab test's will be tarnished with the same brush . That info needs to be on social media. Primer almost need a spam account to highlight all the good work they are doing whilst keeping a distance from their professional scientific side.
I disagree Elon. I would hope that 40p is the new base camp. All set for another go at the summit. I think the Omega Express is just about to leave the station. Do you have your ticket?
Good to see you back Van. Have you been off Troll slaying on other boards? This Randox debacle surely puts a company like Primerdesign in the box seat to take up the batten. Testing has to carry on & who else are they going to buy from. How many other test's have the government wasted money on to find they weren't fit for purpose. With the quantities they will require to hit 300,000 test per day it will keep a few more lights on in companies around the UK.
I wonder how many other contracts will be up for grabs now that Randox have to stop testing.??? The testing programme, being conducted by Randox Health, is costing Premiership Rugby about £100,000 a week.
RE: Vaccine - Antibody importance or not?15 Jul 2020 12:12
Bit of C&P from the Government link posted earlier. TPP COVID-19 Serology (antibody) self-test Scope Intended use Desired: to determine if an individual is immune to SARS-CoV-2 Acceptable: to determine if an individual has previously been exposed to SARS-CoV-2 Evidence for each intended use must include that which supports the specificity of the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 (acceptable feature) and if claim is of immunity (desired feature), that the antibodies detected are protective. Target population Desired: people who need to know that they are immune to SARS CoV-2 Acceptable: people who may have recovered from suspected or confirmed SARS CoV-2 infection or may have previously developed an asymptomatic infection Target user A layperson with no knowledge of self-testing technology My take on this is that the Government are going to use antibody test's not to find out who is immune to the virus but more like a census in finding out who has had it. Different communities react in different way's. It's all about stats. More information we have the better chance we have of reducing risk. Antibody test's will go into production. The Government have to be seen to be doing all it can.
