I've decided today to join you all as a shareholder in Valirx. There seems to be a lot of negativity here and looking at the history of the company you have my sympathy. The shareholders have really been put through the ringer here.

It looks like you have some great products VAL201, and VAL301 but these seem to now have lost their shine. I don't think it helps when the BoD refers to them as legacy products.

I've bought into Valerix for CLX001 and I'm surprised that a lot of people still seem to be concentrating on legacy products when this could be the company maker.

This is from the case study:

There is a lot of anger on the board and I say this in the nicest way coming on a board and venting doesn't really help anyone including yourself. Life is too short for such nonsense. If you no longer believe in the company then just sell up and move on.

I think peeps have decided to take the share price down to a level at which Porky can buy in. Porky can then go into full ramp mode taking it back to 50p.

I’m new to trading and started late last year so still learning. So you’ll see some stupid questions from me on this board.

If it was a stop loss on the 2.1m trade then how does the MM make money? Since that trade we have been well below that price. Was it that there were buyers yesterday afternoon that bought those shares for price above 6.8p?

Or did the stop loss get hit in the high 7p area but the seller only got average price of 6.8p.

Does anyone have any link that explains reasons for delayed reporting of trades. It seems to be a regular occurrence on this share.

For instance the 2.1m trade why report it today when it happened yesterday afternoon.

The only way it makes sense to me is if it was a buy, the MM borrowed and sold the shares and then caused the dip to cover the trade. This is just pie in the sky thinking from me.

Today, it bounced strongly of 6.2 so for me we have found good support at this level.

If we move into 7p territory tomorrow then personally think people were scared into selling by MMs to fill some orders

That’s a late reported trade from yesterday so probably a sell as price was still falling.

What I can tell you is that at the close today I was offered 6.61p to sell 600,000 shares and was quoted 6.74 to buy only 10000 shares. This was on HL platform.

It’s a complete guess but I think it will open up tomorrow lol

Like I said this is no ordinary company and my SIPP is now drowning in casp shares.

When it comes to communication this company is ****e.

What I would say to those angry today is that the BOD and the concert parties own 1.8 billion of the 2.24 billion shares in circulation. They don't care about the share price as they know they can't offload that number of shares on the market. Their end game is either become a small profitable oil producer paying handsome dividends or prove up the reserves in the shallows and the deeps and sell it on. Look at the Kuat family they own a shed load of shares but have taken every opportunity to take more shares. For instance they took shares at over 3p to cover the loan the company owed them when share price was at 2p. Nobody does that unless they know they are onto a winner.

If 802 was a dud or they had encountered unsurmountable issue they would have already told us as share price movement doesn't concern them. Either they are still working on the drill or they have been successful but don't want to share the information. Isn't it funny If they had not moved to quarterly dividend then we could have deduced from the dividend the oil produced in February as they promised to pay 35-40% of net profits each month. Now they don't have to tell us anything for potentially another 3 months.

The CE funds generated are planned to be used to fund the Group's further development. We are talking about $15m net here. A shallow well costs about $2m. So either he is talking about multiple shallow wells or maybe a couple of deep wells. The average price of oil for 2023 is predicted to be $93. Even without the deep wells this company will pay a handsome dividend if they increase the production on the shallow wells.

I can understand and respect if people have had enough and want to move on. I bought in for the dividends and as long as the dividends roll in I'm happy to stay.

@smartyp1 - has Clive confirmed to you that it is $15m net yet? I really do want to believe as it means most of the money from the oil production will go to dividends as they can use the money from the boat to drill new wells.

The initial tender update said £125k+ per day for an initial 2 months. That rns did not mention net

Now Carver is saying $15m net income aka net profit after costs and taxes for 2 months. If the rns is correct that means we can get $30m a year net profit by renting out mcboaty for 4 months a year. That’s 2.5times current annual dividend. Wow !!!!
Hence why I’m asking if this is a typo by carver as if not then this miney alone will cover drilling costs for new wells for years to come.

If we are generating that much money from mcboaty then I think we are likely to get bids for mcboaty as well lol

@Somm - you said we will get paid $250k per day and that’s what I thought as per previous rns. Why does this rns say $15m net income. Is Net a typo by carver?

I agree with badgernator this is bad planning but is anyone really surprised with this casp BOD? I’ve only been a holder since October and even I’ve got used to carverspeak lol.

Can see the rationale for going quarterly as the payments are not aligned to calendar months. I would say a more clued up board would have foreseen this and mentioned this strategy when they started the dividends.

Having said that the silence on 802 is intriguing. If 802 was a dud I think they would have had to tell us by now. I’m wondering whatever they are doing is eating up more funds now and it looks like this bod seem to think it is worth it. The concert parties must be aware hence why no sell off pre this news.

Personally I’m here for the dividends so as long as they keep paying them I’m happy.

@bluemango - I'm glad you mentioned yield as I don't think many here understand what a gem we have. Too many seem fixated on the success of deep wells when this share could provide regular income just on the shallow wells.

At the moment production is 2400 bopd. If they bring shallow well 142 back online and it still produces at 1400 bopd this will increase production to 3800 bopd. The production at 2400 already covers the fixed costs such as machinery and labour so the majority of the cash from the additional 1400 bopd will be profit. I think for every extra 600 bopd will mean an additional dividend of 0.000222. In this example for the extra 1400 bopd we will get an additional dividend of (1400/600*0.000222) = 0.000518. Total dividend will be 0.000444 + 0.000518= 0.000962

for 100k = £96.20 - This means even if you bought at 7.7p - your yield will be 15%. Remember this is talking about bringing back online only 1 well. 142 and spudding new well are happening as well

I'm looking forward to Clive reporting the next dividend. If they have been producing at 3000 bopd based on my calcs I think the next dividend should be 0.000666 - if they are planning on passing it on. :-)

I hate to stick up for Clive but the rns is correct as well 0.0444 pence per share is same saying £0.000444.

If you use the rns figure to calculate the dividend amount then the answer is in pence so you need to divide by 100 to work out what that is in £s.

Multiply your shares by 0.000444

For 100k shares - £44.40

Hopefully this is the final dilution they do to fill their and their mates coffers.

The Leo part in the rns is this which should tell you they expect the share price to appreciate:

No option for the Company to elect to repay ahead of Maturity Date, or for the Company to elect repayment to be made in cash.

Not gloating Smartyp1, I'm sure the seller has made a decent profit on the trade and good luck to him. What I liked about today was that at no times was there any opportunity to sell and then buy in at a lower price.

I don't agree that bad news on 802 will drop this to 5p as the current market cap is underpinned by current 2400 bopd production, soon to be active CE now suddenly looking like $150m+ asset (minimum $9m contract for next year to be signed in March) and more importantly the dividend. The company has kept its promise to pay a dividend each month even though some of us (me included) had reservations. I think over the coming months the dividend will attract more dividend investors as continued payment of dividends will build up trust.

At current price the dividend is about 7%, bringing wells 141 and 142 back online will double the current production. Well 142 was flowing at 1400bopd. This would mean that a dividend at this price would be 14%. I'm not even including well 155 which we know they have a contract out for.

The way I see it , investing in here is akin to buying a lottery ticket, except I'm sure the odds are much better at flowing the deep now that baker Hughes are involved but if it doesn't flow then you've got the runner up price of getting a 14% dividend return on your ticket.

You've got to be in it to win it.
