Thanks aspers. I just wanted to warn everyone about this idiot. I know full well about his behaviour as I post over on ADVFN and regularly see his stupids posts. This is a great BB and we don't want this idiot ruining it. Everything it posts is likely to be negative with the intention of winding people up and it is best that nobody responds to any of its posts (this is what it feeds on).

Unfortunately there is a very stupid individual who posts on ADVFN, who says he will be posting on here from tomorrow. He recently posted as follows:-

I agree regarding the properties but the downsude is it could be many months before these are actually sold and transactions completed, especially in the current climate. Also, they may not be sold for their true market value. Time will tell. Medium to long term I am confident the share price will go up substantially and I intend buying more shares if this drifts nearer £2.

Good posts from everyone. Saga is an extremely strong and well known brand. The share price will recover once cruising recommences, which may include non-stop cruising to start with. The company is in early constructive discussions regarding debt deferral relating to the 2 ships (principal payments are due to commence in April this year) and has promised an update with the full year results. Substantial principal payments of up to £45 million may be deferred to a much later time allowing the business more flexibility financially. The insurance side of the business is resilient. Debt is high at £271 million at the end of December but at the end of the previous 6 months stood at over £400 million. If the company reaches an agreement to defer the principal payments, this is another factor I think will have a positive influence on the share price. There is also the possibility of a bid for the company or it might get taken private. Whatever happens, the future looks much better and Saga will not go bust. Anyone buying shares now, on a minimum 2-3 year view, will be quids in. Lets hope for more positive news on the vaccination front next week. GLA.

Hi Dubliner, I won't be selling anymore either. Had 36 million at one stage but I have traded a few million over recent months and now hold 26 million. Hoping to buy some more in the 0.0026 -0.0028 region or lower but not sure this will go down there again, unless there is bad news of course. Do you think there is a likelihood this will drift back again before any news? Seems to be establishing itself in the low 0.0030s at the moment. Best of luck with your holding.

I tried a dummy sell at 15:15 today and got quoted 0.0031 for 1,300,000 shares. Also tried dummy sells for 600,000 and 700,000 and got the same quotes. I don't understand all these people who claim they can't sell. I use Interactive Investor and normally don't have any problems. Got quoted 0.003498 to buy a million. GLA, hopefully some updates soon . 2021 will be a great year to be holding here. Hope to buy more around 0.0028 or lower but not sure we'll set that price again.

I think if the new and worse version of the Brazilian strain gets over to the UK, this may have a real detrimental effect on travel. I cannot see cruises restarting again until June or later. I hope I am wrong. Let's face it, many people originally thought that we would be in a much better place with the pandemic in early 2021 than we actually are. Even with vaccines, travel is likely to be severely limited in the first half of 2021.

The policy was to 30 June 2021 and only cost £106. I hadn't read the small print about the cancellation fee. So the refund I would have been entitled to was swallowed up by the fee. Good luck recovering your deficit.

Hi charlesrixon. I hold a total of 16700 shares with an average of £1.97. I will not be buying more shares unless the price drops back to the £2 - £2.20 region, as I already have enough invested here. Bought some at £2.90 on 25 November but should have waited for a drop. I am holding here for at least 2-3 years. There is no point looking at the current daily swings as we know Saga can't operate cruises at the moment. I spoke to Saga yesterday, when I cancelled a car insurance policy and this side of the business seems to be doing well. The person I spoke to told me there have been far less insurance claims since COVID (as expected) and I hope this is reflected in the forthcoming update. Anyone with patience (at least 2 years) is onto a winner here. Trouble is everyone seems to expect an immediate rise/profit but I expect a lot of volatility here in the next 6 months or so.

I cancelled the policy in case a refund was available. The total cost for the year was only £100. Been buying Saga from £1.19 in October and now hold 16000 at a healthy profit, so not too bothered we didn't get a small refund. Onwards and upwards. GLA.

I phoned Saga today to cancel our car insurance policy on our 3rd runaround car, which has been scrapped due to old age. No refund though, due to a £50 cancellation charge. I asked the person I spoke to how the insurance business is doing. He said that the insurance business is doing very well, including the multi-year car insurance policies. He also confirmed there have been substantially fewer car insurance claims, so all sounds good for the forthcoming update.

ALBA, UFO and SRES. SRES already have mining and air permits for their CS Project in Nevada (natural Pozzolan and Perlite). Holding 26 million there at an average of 0.0015. Currently 0.0030. There is someone with the username janestone who occasionally posts on SRES over on ADVFN. Possibly the same person.

Not sure why you have difficulty buying. I did a dummy buy on Interactive Investor earlier and could buy 3 million @ 0.00434.

In the absence of any news, I hope to be buying more in the 0.0040s, having sold some at 0.00554 yesterday. Still have a substantial holding and this is ultimately only going one way in 2021 and beyond. Up. GLA.

Large late 'unknown' trade of 10,000,000 shares. Will be interesting to see how this opens up tomorrow.
