Gamsberg ‘a breath of fresh air’ in embattled South African mining industry – Ramaphosa

During his keynote address, Ramaphosa said the Gamsberg project “confirms [government’s] view that, with an effective regulatory framework, improved collaboration between all stakeholders and sustained investment, mining has the potential to be a sunrise industry”.

Just curious would SA government have to approve a TO now considering IDC involvement (have committed funds) if so can't see them looking favourably to a non domiciled company ie Chinese-US-UK fly in the face of beneficiation etc

When you look at the amount of things that are lining up here it's beyond what anyone could possibly imagine, how on earth the media press are still missing a lot of this and it's potential is pure stupidity. I used to believe what the so called experts used to print was up to date on the money, no more. There is nothing to beat what we see here PIs digging and digging to unearth the gems of information we can all act on, credit to all.

From where I'm standing I would think it highly unlikely the Bod have worked this long and hard and wouldn't roll over easily. They are not strapped for cash so no levers there Even if the bigger players agreed to cash in they would not get it over the line till us lesser mortals agree. We don't know the exact % retail holding but it is significant enough to thwart a low ball offer..
