Big: that just does not make sense to me. The share price is now affected by Ukraine. Clearly. If we are getting sales through at these prices, the funding of sidetrack, the replacement of options, the sale of stored oil will all be brought forward to enhance our financial position.
It is awful that we are having to have these discussions in the context of Ukraine, but the fact is the price of oil will be a huge boon to our financial standing. More money in the in the bank means more chances of success, which means more opportunities for a stronger balance sheet
‘ It is still possible to access RT via Rumble if anyone is interested.’ Nah, you’re alright. Any news channel that uses Alec Salmond as a voice of ‘diversity’ is not gonna be my cuppa tea!
In other news, JP Morgan are predicting PoO to be $185.
From the Telegraph:
Oil could hit $185 a barrel, warns JP Morgan
You may think current oil prices are bad, but if the analysts are to be believed, things are going to get much, much worse.
Ha! We will have to agree to disagree. Putin will not be going further than Ukraine. The ‘never again’ message of 80yrs ago has been echoing around the media, UN and NATO for the past couple of days.
Ukraine invasion is despicable, but NATO involvement can be withheld through the use of sanctions. If he so much as sets foot in one other country, there is no way the West would stand by. It’d be impossible. There would 100% be intervention of some sort (no fly zones, sorties from nearby countries, etc).
Great to see all the armchair expert epidemiologists that told us everything they knew about airborne viruses are also, by chance, expert in military strategy, the Russian revolution, and geo-politics of the Slavic nations 1939 through till Perestroika.
It has informed my investment in Lloyds no end!
As I mentioned yesterday, We will see the surrounding nations of Russia turn their back on the pariah state and look westward to the European model of government and cooperation. It is where their prosperity lies. With this will come better financial and fiscal management, stronger rules of law, and greater transparency.
This is fantastic news for block in the medium term
From the Telegraph: Georgia is to apply 'immediately' for EU membership. Georgia will "immediately" apply for EU membership, the Black Sea nation's ruling party said Wednesday, a day after the European Parliament backed war-torn Ukraine's bid to apply for EU membership. The ruling Georgian Dream party chairman, Irakli Kobakhidze announced the party's "decision today to immediately apply for the EU membership'.
‘Rampers ramped and the greedy believed them’
Very, very true
Down 27% on the day, with deteriorating outlook.
What does Mr basse claim? Wouldn’t want to be out of this overnight. Total delusion. This is going one way, I am afraid.
Caveat emptor
Utter, utter tripe. The world will sanction Russia for years regardless, even if every troop was removed in the next 20 minutes. This is now the future until regime change in Russia. The world has decided that no-one is willing to risk Russia under Putin ever again. He is done, no ifs, not butts….and so is the Russian economy while he is at the helm.
Some people post negative comments on here is because they don’t believe in the company, want to stop people from losing money, want balance to the endless ‘we’re all going to be millionaires’ nonsense posted by Ian and Sillywiz. Balance is what makes a market. If you don’t have both sides, all stocks would be a £million per share.
Take my comments with a pinch of salt if you wish, but just maybe my comments will be read by one person who changes their mind and saves themselves a lot of their family’s money
Because whenever I warn people about investing here, I get banned. But what should I do? Ignore the truth and let people lose their money?
Me. I can not put a timescale on it, but regime change is likely to see a massive change I. The fortunes of the region. Russia could be an amazing country, alongside the nations borne from the yolk of communism- Georgia and Ukraine included. The young of these nations have a much more internationalist outlook, and this will slowly feed through to their govt.
The people of Ukraine, Georgia, Russia et cetera all want the same as us, a prosperous life with opportunities, safety for families, home, reliable infrastructure et cetera. Let’s hope that with regime change in Russia, the step towards capitalism and away from communism is taken in the medium term.
Indeed. Make no mistake, my concern is not about my substantial investment in Block/Georgia, but I think that the outcome of this despicable Ukrainian invasion will actually be positive for Georgia and Georgian business.
I fully anticipate that the current Georgian government will turn its back on Russia and look west over the medium term. At the moment they are on friendly terms with Putin, to some extent it is a requirement in that region for your safety. However there is little doubt that this invasion into Ukraine has solidified pretty much the whole world.
The risk of Russia to Georgia has decreased massively in the long-term, despite any short-term concerns. There is next to no chance of Putin stepping foot in any other country after this invasion. He doesn’t have the resources, he doesn’t have the political support amongst his apparatchiks. The world is watching every single step.
As we all know the side effects are positive to Block - PoO and PoG are not going to be dropping any time soon.
Yes, reeks of a troll with too much time on his/her hands
I have been trying to tell people this for a year - but they just want to report you! Oh well, fools and their money and all that…
Intafearunce: about idiot
Apropos nothing, just saw this on Twitter

Please, please do not get sucked in by that RNS. Assets are in Russia for god sake!!! Board members are Russian. The whole of the west are going to squeeze Russian assets, people, business owners and businesses in every conceivable way for years to come.
Even if Putin was to withdraw today, the damage has been done. Russia is now a pariah state. They can only trade with North Korea and China for the next 10 years.
Money invested here will be lost. You have been warned
Todays news is not what anyone (apart from a psychopath) wanted. My heart goes out to all Ukrainians.
As heartless as I sound, the reality is that this will increase oil and gas prices. I just hope that putin’s minions show some backbone and reign him in, and the de-escalation is immediate.
The stability of the side track is very welcome. Another successful sidetrack will get us to 3p…geo-politics aside.
Bl00dy typical of my luck for that throbber Putin to invade on the day my biggest holding reveals it’s results.
I fully expect Queenie to take a turn for the worse, Boris to get arrest for supplying ecstasy at one of his lockdown raves, and 2 new bl00dy covid variants to be announced…
Onshore production is a must, even if European would be better
