Agree totally as a LTH. Pi's tend to be either short term get rich quick types or LTH who are looking to build pension stakes or provision for their families , children and grandchildren. The former you can recognise on here so easily, wanting quick movements in the shareprice and disappointed when it doesn't happen. The latter are not so bothered about short term movements in what is a now de-risked investment. The II's are using pension money, life insurance money etc so take a longer term view. This share will reward all LTH'S handsomely over the next few years if you can wait that long. After so many years of trading and investing it is so obvious to me that money flows from impatient to patient. Most AIM traders lose on the short term strategy. Good luck on your investment not that you will need luck with Greatland.
Jackal...not Naive. There are many reasons why PI's sell their holding. Stop losses,happy to take 10-20% etc. Many bought in at 1-10p so well in profit. Also during these difficult times many need the money despite the potential. I'm sure its PI's as its taking a while for the MM's to buy the number of shares to fill the large orders from the GDXJ funds. If nobody sold tomorrow the price would have to rise significantly.
Dillon..its the GDXJ fund rebalancing. They need to buy something like 60m shares to rebalanced their holding. They can't do it in one hit so will slowly build x amount a day as PI's sell over the next 2 weeks. We should see a rise over the next few days but with the MM's daily strategy to keep the price within a range ( for their buyers) it may not happen!!
"unless you can actually touch it you don't own it".
Not wanting to answer for Speedy but can't you say the same about your money in the bank.. You can't touch it but you own it and can spend it via the plastic card. Presumably you get a certificate of ownership!
Its an interesting point when it comes to shares as you own them but MM's can loan them out if you don't set a stop loss. Can they do the same with gold bullion, not that i'm sure what the end game would be?
Jaguar7.... the price that investors bought in at will have no bearing on NC's decision to buyout GGP. It will be a commercial decision based on the profitability of the asset. NC has two JV's now so yes I would say 'claws deep' and Haveiron is looking to be a world class find. I would suggest an uplift of 40% on the brokers valuation as a starting offer given the growing potential. Another big find then its going to be an expensive buyout for NC. Shareholders would have to agree but some of the II's hold millions of the shares and in my experience the II's dictate what happens. My only hesitancy is that Shaun Day would not have taken the CEO job if there wasn't a surety of a major role and recompense if indeed this happened. Having said that this is business and it can be cut throat when millions, in fact billions are at stake!!

Rambler minerals (LSE: RMM) in Canada is worth reading up on. I did and decided to buy a few million . Some big buys coming in. Its a gold and copper producing mine with proven reserves and recently refinanced so you would be getting in at the beginning. New highly rated CEO bought in who's a turnaround specialist. Could be a TO target as well. Worth a look at 0.32p.
From Newcrest board;
'"Newcrest Mining announced a Maiden Inferred resource at its 60% owned Havieron deposit last month, which lies NEXT door to its currently operating TELFER mine."
"The report has shown a resource of 3.4million ounces of gold and 160,000 tonnes of copper,
WITH AN AVERAGE GRADE THAT D W A R F S that of Telfer*s current reserve grade."
"Given the robust nature of Havieron, Newcrest has approved construction at the project, with the hope to be TRUCKING the HIGH-GRADE ORE to Telfer by 2024."
"This is because Havieron*s reserve grade DWARFS TELFER GRADES and could provide a MASSIVE BOOST TO RESERVES.

I knew Havieron was bigger but DWARFS TELFER GRADES in capital letters says it all. I'm amazed the market hasn't woken up to this after yesterdays report. A 1% rise is difficult to understand. I was expecting 5% at least.
Raising $15 billion presumably for acquisitions. I know they are into copper and in Australia though their copper mines I think are in South America. Would they be interested in Newcrest I wonder? $15 Billion is a hell of a lot of acquisition money.
I tend to agree Daveri007 but he's only just taken over....Feb 8th, so one month in. Isn't there some restriction on Directors buying during a price sensitive period which given we are expecting Scallywags results any day its a period we could be in. May be wrong but l'm sure Directors can't buy if they are aware of forthcoming price sensitive information. It would have to apply to selling as well which if they can would always put them at a massive advantage to the market. May be a good sign for us. Who knows!
EUA takeover talk....3 months ago they were 42.5p so long way to catch back up. Talk of doubling production as well as TO. We will see. Russia not the greatest place to do business. If TO happens I'm sure some of the money will head this way. We have had a good run from 1p+ to 23p and it doesn't look as if we are going to drop below 22p. We will have our re-rate at some point and put 20-30% on the current price easily and 100%+ over time. Having said that I would rather see a steady rise of 3-5% a day or 8-10% a week than 30% up then 30% down. Says a lot about the company if that happens. IMO GGP is a much better investment, albeit it now a slow burner.
For those not familiar with the terminology or mining process this video of the box cut and portal at Carrapteena, Australia is worth watching. Its time lapsed and fairly short at 3.30mins
