The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
'Consolidation = Good for everyone. In this case.'
Glad you said in this case! My experience of consolidation is not that positive especially with Solo oil (other factors in play though) but in this case I think it will be in that we have two valuable minerals to sell, a turn around management team, the finance to turn it around and with consolidation will be gaining exposure to larger investors who would never touch such a low valued company as it is at present.
I'm very confident and so just took another 259,000 to round up another million and got them at 0.555.
Northern Star used a placing to buy into a Newmont asset in Nov 19. Discount at 6.7% to price at the time. I would like to think that existing shareholders get the opportunity to take part if that is the case here.
'Or more concern is what it would potentially say about GGP. If GGP is the huge opportunity we have all talked about (and it does still seem to be) why would it have been deemed necessary for GH to bolster confidence in this way?'
IMO Gervaise wasn't bolstering confidence but simply buying half a million shares in a company that is going to give him a big return. As far as I can see at 11.46am this morning he still held 74.5m shares. Is there information (genuine) to the contrary? I'm amazed he hasn't been selling unless he has an alternative source of income given he is no longer our CEO.
I can't figure out the reasoning either unless SD just wanted to get his first presentation out to set the Greatland scene prior to tonights report from NC. I would expect another RNS tomorrow or Friday to acknowledge the progress that has been made and outlined by NC. No need for this to be in presentation format though.
Page... thanks for putting that link on. An interesting read. The President got it spot on when she says ' bureaucracy and delays' in terms of licences, work permits etc. I've been in Aminex for years and have a sizeable holding but had almost lost faith, not in the company but in the Tanzanian Government who seemed incapable of managing in anytime frame the development of their economic potential. Lets hope President Samia changes the climate for companies such as Aminex. I live in hope!!
oday figure,
# Trades 892
Vol. Sold 7,293,000
Sold Value £2m
Vol. Bought 11,760,642
Bought Value £3m
Total volume declared at 19,543,047 so 543,028 missing off the books. Only £119,466 worth . Presumably the MM's have them although I believe they try to balance the books each night.
Crazy year....what does you think the shareprice should be on $27.7m annual profit. It seems to me that the price is being held back by the overhang but I have difficulty putting a price on this share from the potential profit in one year. Once we know the actual size of reserve ( I believe they are still drilling as well as mining) perhaps we can be more accurate in our valuation. Happy to look at other calculations or share price estimates.
djr and Tiger....fair comment. It is an exceptional situation at Haveiron/Telfer. When do we next receive an update on progress from Rambler?
djr...I agree with most of what you say except 20 years from discovery to mining. Newcrest respect to process gold and copper ore at Haveiron/Telfer in Australia by late 22 early 2023 which is only 4 -5 years from discovery in 2017/8 to mining. There is no doubt RMM as a working mine is in an advantageous position given the increase in the price of gold and copper. It is only a matter of time now before we see a good solid rise or a TO at a much increased price to todays shareprice.
spy...'imagine if, in the rush for ground, NM put themselves back on the table. it does not make sense to go for surrounding land without finishing the first dig. Are we about to see another J/V rise up from the ashes.'
I think this is Shaun's plan. Newmont were clearly interested having looked at the drill results and when the price of gold was far less than today. I will not be surprised to see a JV with NM and on a larger asset. SD will want to build another big mining company and I'm sure in time he will. This is one of the best 5-10 year investments on AIM by far.
Plenty of examples here of those who bought at less than 2p and sold before 5p. Yes 100% up but even at 20p now a lot more than 100%. I doubt many bought at less than 2p and sold at 37p. This is a Tier 1 asset and patience will reward the LTH. No share goes up in a straight line and as the company develops it is bound to ebb and flow. It is now a slow burner as drillingand mine creation continues and takes time. The end result I firmly believe will be well above 37p. Having said that I believe the company could well be bought out by either NC or company as yet unknown. Someone is continually buying and it is in their interest to buy as low as possible. Those PIs holding shares at the end could well enjoy a bonanza offer!
20p?
Once the banks and II's have taken up 95 - 98% of the shares they will let this go. They will see it as a long term investment which will keep giving great returns over 10 years plus. Its the PI's who will let their shares go cheaply. Most of the shares initially were held by PI's until the potential started to be seen and the II's stepped in. Not sure about easily buying 1m shares. Easy to place the order but getting them is another thing. GDXJ's 6m order took all day to fill if not longer.
HAV is 'potentially' the largest find in the last 10 years is better. Its all abstract calculation anyway just like you can't say that Solgold has 21.7 m oz. Until its mined to completion its simply a calculated guess,as will be HAV. We take our decisions based on data and fundamentals put in front of us and for my money HAV is the better investment and will give a return on my investment far quicker than Solgold.
I should have added, there is no bad news here ( Even Scally was not bad news to me)
The last report was astonishing with every drill hole hitting decent mineralisation. Havieron is still open at depth and outside the asset but within Greatlands tenement. This has all the hallmarks of a major world class find and Greatlands shareprice will move up accordingly. Some of the forecast's by the ' calculators ' on this board may not be so extreme when you start to analyse their base data.
