The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Hi all, I'm new to this stock and want to make sure I understand this correctly. The mine total cost is $234M, COID will pay $30M in cash, $140M will come from debt (loans, bonds, etc) and the remaining $60M will be financed mostly through offtake agreement. Does the offtake agreement means they will sell copper they will produce in the future (sort of hedging)? Can such a small miner cover the whole amount this way?
I don't think investors will wait for the finance to be completed. This RNS is a very positive signal and we will (hopefully) have a positive sentiment (at least for a while until another bed news come out ;)) especially if the volume remains low
It's funny. When I was buying these shares in Jan and Feb I felt like a proper investor. In April, when we were at 60 I felt like a real pro. Now, whilst holding this bag at 40% loss I feel like a gambler.
**** it
Let's gamble
Grade should be much higher in Q3 &4. They plan is to reach around 2% by the end of 2021. If no major issues ofc.
1.44% grade seems a bit disappointing to me(I was hopig for something closer to 1.7%) but everything else as expected imo
It's usually a good sign. Most sellers are gone, trolls barely can get a reply and I don't have to read those hundreds of silly comments daily. GLA
Hah, the MMs went to the toilet
It's getting sick actually. 12% rise in just a couple of hours with no news?
In one of Crux Investor's interviews (in the club), Brandon Munro, who is a uranium mining CEO, said that placings make sense and are successful only if they are done by surprise and the market didn't expect that. Companies don't announce this before and everything is usually strictly confidential. It's a rule of thumb.
This is a prospective project. There aren't many really prospective gold projects around the world nowadays, maybe 20? 30? Though, NM knows most of those really prospective projects will never become a mine, and it won't be their first project that failed, nor the last one, so in this case they brought Agnico, to share the risk. It's very risky business.
The problem with OMI SP is that too many shareholders expected APTA to be be a top world class project and they were looking forward outstanding results. Well, the results are "only" good or even very good, but they are disappointed.

"This will turn, not as quick as we would like"
Why? Fundamentals have changed? I think the opposite, a genuine investors (institutional?) are into this stock.

Greedy? I'm looking for bargains. At, say 10-15 the risk reward ratio is high enough for me (at 27 I can earn circa 50% less!). If it drop to that level I'll buy, if not, I won't and move on. It's a strategy, not greed.
I was waiting for the SP to go lower so I could accumulate at 10ish. Hope this is a temporary spike caused by this investor and it will go back :)
I follow this board for a couple of months and I'm invested too. Still don't see the point of JV at this stage if we can finance drills ourselves for the next 12 mths and even buy more rigs. I know many are waiting for JV but I think from the BOD point of view it would have been a waste of potential. Though I'm not saying there will be no JV soon
What's the point of going into JV at this stage? We have 2 very attractive deposits, enough founds to finance drilling both, great geologist team, own laboratory and a CEO who seems confident of what's hidden under ground. Seriously, if I was Craig I wouldn't accept any offer unless it was really crazy offer.
I stay off from industrial metals in this quarter

100% agree Mig, seems like CB wanted to prepare us for no JV in near future, but I might be totally wrong. I take it as big boys yet don't see enough potential in this deposit and don't want to pay money that CB wants. I believe in CB though, he's got exp and great geologists on board.
