The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Good point about the timing Geckos. If H is right (and I'm sure we all hope he is !) about developments over the next 4-6 wks, then why not wait instead of raising the money at 20p?
I'm not sure about the "staff" part of your post Jonfon, as my understanding is that there are very few anyway, but I agree about the trading of companies in the equity portfolio, not least because they are not infallible (not blaming them for that!) and have missed out on profits by selling early and there have been some disappointing investments as well.
H, you may well be right about this being a gift-but there's not much pleasure in seeing other people get to unwrap their presents when there's none for you!
and can sell for 22.85. Still not a good way to start the week tho'!
This is a real kick in the teeth for existing long term holders. The ASX listing needs to pay off big time to justify this raise-I sure hope the Board know what they're doing because at the moment it seems to be constantly 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Just when you think there's some light at the end of the tunnel, we get another rock fall and the light is all but extinguished.
Has anyone noticed the price target (in MTR broker ratings on here) from Berenberg Bank, dated 6th July-200.00p! Now that's what you call a target. Here's hoping they've hit the bull's eye!
and in the meantime we drift lower. Lets hope the news is seriously good!
And not just on here-10 o'clock and not a single deal gone through! Everybody waiting for some news?
Not here we don't!
Morning all. So, what's behind this slide in the SP? Did the SP get ahead of itself in reaching the 30s? Or is the SP being dragged down to allow someone in at a bargain price? Any thoughts anybody.
Up 18% yesterday to C$0.83
Nice one! Shares + warrants now worth £600K+
Thanks for the explanation, Azamondo. I didn't think you were trying to mislead anyone-I thought perhaps you'd posted on the wrong BB, as people sometimes do. Anyway, 56c is about what I'd expected MTR to start trading at as it equates to about 30.5p, whereas 50c is only 27p, which would have been a bargain, if you could have got any at that price, but I'm one of those who has no knowledge of how ASX works, or indeed anything about CDIs so I was just going on the UK price. From what Taylot says, it seems we'll have to wait for some serious news from Botswana to get things moving . At least the price of copper is heading in the right direction again and I'm sure we'll wake up 1 day in the not too distant future to some great news which sends the SP rocketing up.
Are you talking about MTR, Azamondo?
An extract from the Arden note has been put on the Hot Copper MTR discussion page. Let's hope it helps get us off to a good start on the ASX.
Well, as I don't know any City fans (and City didn't gift us 4 points and 8 goals last season!), I'll be cheering for your lot on Saturday. Hope you get the luck and the VAR decisions.
I also wouldn't be surprised to see your MTR predictions come true either. You've got to feel confident at the moment. I wonder how the Aussies will take to us.-let's hope they open their arms (and bank accounts) in welcome.
The question is Fiercey-when are you going to be right? This week, next week, next month, or next year. Could you have a look in your crystal ball please.
And are you going to be happy or sad come10pm on Saturday.
What was it before?
Yes, I suppose that must be it. I've never heard the name Vidacos before.
Yes it is odd. Aren't the various Sprott companies in effect nominee companies with their holdings being held on behalf of their clients? I was concerned that Sprott might have sold a whole lot more shares but there hasn't been enough volume has there since since the recent notification, so I don't think that's the explanation. Any other ideas?
